What do you think the Hidden Springs line will be like? Usually their stout releases have coincided with angry chair releases which kind of limited the line but that's not the case this time. Will 7am be early enough?

Looking at that bottle list I feel like it will be less insane there--no barrel aged Huna treatment, the vultures won't be circling as aggressively.

Probably depends on what they are releasing. I would say though, they will probably have the longest lines during the week

They literally changed the allotment right as they opened for business

Can anyone give me an idea how ridiculous it’s gonna be at Cigar City and Angry Chair 3/7 at around 8pm-closing.. or around noon on 3/8? I’m traveling through Tampa not even knowing it was TBBW, and wanted to have a few beers on tap and not get caught up in whale hype. After lunch on 3/8, I’ll be driving to Port Canaveral.

AC is closed 3/7 for the offsite event. AC will be nuts 12pm on Friday.

I read on another thread on this forum AC will be open Thursday.. not sure if this is true or not.

Do you think any of the ‘rare’ beer from AC’s rare beer event will make it to the taproom?

Yeah they were going to be closed then they changed their mind.

Indeed, Angry Chair announced on Instagram a few days back that the tasting room will be open Thursday, 7 March.

Friday? Probably. Will it be super-packed? Likely.

It is really a toss up, AC opens at Noon and will be busy but dont think it will be a zoo. they may have some goodies on tap.. CCB will be busy during the bottle release, but will most likely think out. They have a pretty big space so you should be okay.

Yep, allotment on Thursday was dropped to 1 per based on turn out. Mon-Wed bottles were sold out prior to Thursday. IIRC, David Humphrey also sold out same day it was released, and the madiera bw and ba milk stout lasted 1.5ish days.

Agree, AC given the size will be mayhem all week after people start arriving from out of town and moreso after the events with people hoping to drink the leftover specialty stuff. For people that haven’t been, since the tap room is small, they reach capacity and stop letting people in at times.

CCB will be busy but not a problem for pours or capacity issues. Bottles sales will have a separate line everyday. Which I expect to get more crowded as the week goes on. Nothing like last years ba maple Huna line, but not sure if they will set limits on anything either. They have always struggled to figure out their demand ahead of time.

There are 2 sessions for RAD beer this year. So no leftovers to the taproom until midnight or so. Maybe not until Sunday.

While rad taps would cause even a bigger uproar.....ac itself is on many out of towners radar.

They'll be busy. There's no doubt about it

What made the BA Huna line even worse last year was that the price was something stupid like $12 + tax which worked out to something like $13.02 and were handing back 98cents in change for everyone who was paying in cash. A huge bottle neck.

This year the bottles are $19.50, still gonna be making change. Wish they would make it an even $20 tax included. Would make the line sooo much faster.

Last year there were no limits on ccb bottles. Each one sold out the day of.

On Thursday, they saw the line and changed it to 1 or 2 pp. there were no or very very small lines on the other days.

These were also fairly low bottle counts last year. 500ish each

1pp Thurs for Maple BA Huna. I know because I would have bought way more otherwise, and was pretty pissed seeing the people holding multiple spots in line, no idea whether CCB had any way to prevent them from double dipping. That beer was absolutely bonkers too, absolutely worth the ridiculous wait.

Yep, and that line was the longest of the week. Also, the Cycle pullout of their daily bottle drop following Monday’s infection could have added to the people lining up the rest of the week at AC and CCB, both of which were insane by Thursday...

Just checked CCB’s Facebook. Yesterday they posted their daily bottle release line up, for those who haven’t seen it yet. I didn’t see a bottle limit mentioned...

I have a feeling this is going to happen again this year. With no daily lines at AC, and Cycle dropping their bottles on Sunday, lines at Arkane/Hidden Springs/CCB will be worse than expected.

... and yet people will continue to pile into those lines and then bitch about having to stand in those lines with eleventy zillion *other* people.

The circularity is stunning but no longer surprising (since this thread already is littered with examples from last year).

In all seriousness though, what will Hidden Springs be like later Thursday evening? Chill because the release will have been over and they aren't pouring it on draft? Hoping so, was planning on stopping by just for a casual visit that day.
