I usually have no issues getting my box, but the one time I tried contacting them, I got no response.
Today they had The Great Northern Barrel Aged Series 2 from Evil Twin for sale. Figure we’ll be seeing that one on this list in a years time. Hopefully this is a sign of a good year full of good beers to come on Tavour.
I’ve been pleased with the numerous boxes I’ve received but the local delivery service GLS, is a joke. The last two boxes have taken 3 days to go 8 miles with not so much as a call, text or email indicating the status. Nope. Just out for delivery for 3 days straight with me or the wife waiting at home for nothing. I call them and the caller says someone will call me with a status and of course no call. This has soured me towards ordering from Tavour, and I understand it’s no fault of theirs, but using this delivery service has me questioning future orders.
GLS is a total joke. I had a day off so I stayed home so as not to miss my delivery, and then I get a text saying that they attempted delivery, but failed... they didn’t even knock at the door or ring the bell! Then I call them to complain and the customer service lady reads me some script about Covid and left it at that. It’s their catch-all excuse for anything that goes wrong.
It's been my excuse. Why am I drinking a six pack of ten fidy? Well 10.5 x 6 puts things into the 60 something percent needed to kill corona. I'm just doing my part.
And good luck when Younger gets released and shipped. Deliveries are going GLS. I see orders getting ‘lost’ or simply not delivered from this clown company.
Our local service is equally terrible. I don't let them deliver anymore...as soon as I know they have my beer I go by and pick up the box myself.
This is probably the best way to go about it. Kind of sad that a delivery company can’t properly do the one thing that they’re in business for.
Yeah, maybe you've had smooth sailing with Tavour prior to December but if you chalk your recent experience up to "December shipping madness" then you haven't read any of the 23 pages of this thread.
I've been shipping with tavour regularly for two years. Over half of my shipments have been delayed by over a week. Surprisingly, my December crate came early!
I hadn't opened a crate in some time just because I was busy getting caught up on the beers in my fridge, but I broke down and started a new one today because Fremont's Coconut Cinnamon B-Bomb popped up. It'll be a new tick for me and seemed worthy of opening a crate.
ADWTD vanilla coming to tavour next week. Hopefully I’m a lucky one and it gives me a reason to open another box. I’ve been avoiding opening one as the offerings haven’t been great and My cellar is growing too big with ability for proxies at many great breweries.
Our local delivery service wouldnt allow pick up, due to COVID. I much rather pick up the box myself than wait for delivery but it's not an option.
I meant to post this earlier, but finally got a secret stash offer last week for Mikkeller Traeblod. On the same day, Anchorage Doomed made a brief unannounced appearance, and I skipped it again (after passing on it back when it first showed up). Anyone else have those pop-up? Just curious how exclusive those were in this instance.
I got the same "secret stash" offer for the same beer. Also, two days before crate closing, they ran a bunch of obscure brews by me, most with a bit of age on them. The last shipment was the first non-delayed shipment in a string of delayed ones. We'll see how this one goes.
They do a secret stash. Sometimes I think it’s a way to entice if you haven’t bought much recently or if you’re spending a fair amount to reward you. I passed on the traeblod because it just wasn’t enough to make me open a box. Doomed was really good though. Had my first bottle last night.
