Does anyone know if they geographically restrict some of their offerings? I haven't seen any Revolution beers pop up and would have loved to nab a Supermassive Cafe Deth, but either they didn't offer it to me or I must have missed it. You would think that being centralized would allow them to offer the same beers to everyone but based on what I've seen and read from others this may not be the case for some reason.
They won't offer certain regions certain beers. The idea is that if it gets distribution to your area they will not offer it. Like everything it is flawed. I get Fremont on my feed. I can get those beers locally with no problems. I would rather see ADWTD, especially since I have purchased other beers from the same brewery.
Interesting -- this would make sense, but I see Texas breweries (Weathered Souls and 903 seem to be the most common) pop up all the time, as well as other national breweries that are distributed here. A brewery like Revolution would be perfect for our area as they're never available locally. The algorithm doesn't seem to make a ton of sense, IMO, but maybe there's another factor I'm not considering.
I see so much 903 I've wondered if they do any business outside of Tavour! Bourbon Vanilla Mr. Sandman popped up for me today. I happily bit on that one.
903 seems to be a prominent one, as does Anchorage. I used to see a lot of mountains walking, but since they have scored distro I have not seen anything from them.
Actually have 2 from them on my feed right now, lol. Also add Energy City and Junkyard to the list of breweries that almost always show up weekly for me and that I have yet to buy a single beer from.
Todays list that i skipped and scoffed at: Pastry rocky road stout from junkyard. Belongs in junkyard IMO Cider. Mead. Ne ipa. And an overpriced FestBier. Only gave them a try this month and i only have ONE beer im happy with out 14 . Prolly never using it again
I only buy beers that are worth it. I have had only positive things with Tavour. Customer Service has been phenomenal. The few bad issues I had, Tavour was quick to resolve. Had more issues with the carrier. I have not had any bad beer yet. I try to stick with beer I know and know how it is supposed to taste. My only complaint is the price point, I think some of their offerings are expensive. All in all an above-average experience. I stray away from ordering in the summer months.
Paying 75 dollars( shipping is 15...trash "BA stout" pack is 57) is an insult. Why not have Supermassive as a single option? They are put of they damned minds
Thank you! Unfortunately I'm just reading this this morning, and when I went to check, I saw the bundle is already sold out. Appreciate it, though! Clearly the solution is that I should spend more time on BA so I can see things like this sooner. And it's at least encouraging to see a Revolution beer to know that it may not be a regional problem why I didn't see it last time -- I might have just missed it or have not been randomly selected to receive it. They actually did sell it as a single option initially, but I understand why they'd put it in a bundle with other beers that are not as easy to move even if it's not ideal for the consumer.
If you are into trading hit up the Chicagoland forum, supermassive four packs are on the shelf at the store right now
Yep limit six….guess how many I bought…LOL! It’s either that and a two hour drive to Erie PA or a 3.5 hour drive to Ohio. I did both last time. Well worth it.
Tavour arranged a telephone call with me about my shipping experience I documented here back in July. Had a 10 minute conversation with one of their people. Seems I am not the only one having problems with the delivery service and their lack of professionalism. Nice they wanted to reach out and talk.
Interesting -- they also reached out to me but via email with a link to a survey in August. They seem quite proactive lately about staying on top of their carriers and trying to ensure that they meet their service-level agreement which I appreciate after reading some of the negative experiences in this thread.
