That's what it was in the past. I wouldn't be surprised if it was $55 or $60 this year though.

So was ADWTD TO the same price as DO?

I always thought they were $50, I dind't know they were $100 until recently. But it was only relatively recently that I paid attention to the fact that they have done not only a DO, but also TO. So...I'm not very 'in the know' here.

TO was $100, DO was $50.

It is a little confusing. When I bought DO, I thought I was getting the TO version. I didn't realize there was more than one ADWTD. FWIW, I still have not had my can of DO. I may or may not buy more. I really just want to try TO.

Thanks. The one getting released is DO (I think). I'm a real sap for the sexiest barleywines. You'll get me to give up the amount of money for a DO or TO vs. the same amount for a stout. It would have to be a particularly lusty stout for me to give that kind of money up. It'd have to be not just a "bucket list" beer, but something that I believe to be god tier. The same isn't true for barleywines - I'm willing to lower that threshold a little. Don't get me wrong, it better be top tier, but maybe it doesn't have to be the top 0.1%. Maybe just top 1%.

I'm a compulsive Barleywine buyer too, it's completely out of my control lol. I paid the hundred for triple oak and I can't say it was worth it, but I don't regret it either. I'll probably spring for the double oak if I see it, but it'll be kind of tough to justify this time. I just got some stellar double barrel barley wine at less than five bucks a pint that I've been enjoying the hell out of.

What was the limit at the brewery for the AWTD DO this past weekend?
I saw UT photo that had boxes with 5-6 in them.

I don't know, you can probably find out if you're on Instagram.

Per Anchorage's response on IG, no limits. They didn't comment on price though.

I'm going with $75 for a Tavour price if it shows up there. Wasn't the 16 oz waxed can $50 on there? I'm terrible at remembering actual cost of many things. I think it's a coping mechanism to keep me from being traumatized by my own stupidity.

Doubt it's that high, I'd guess still 50. Their stuff doesn't sell out instantly anymore. Kind of hope you're right though, because then I would definitely pass lol

With how crazy names have become, this sounds like the name of a beer.

Smog City Infinite Wishes Raspberry Truffle (2022). But yeah, replace the SS to $$ and you're on to something!

Sometimes I will say things to my wife like, “Fried fried chicken chicken”, poking fun of the beer names (from veil? Or was it other half?), and she has no idea. But she thinks it’s funny, and I know it’s ridiculous.

With the hope of ADWTD DO release this month on Tavour, they got me to open a new crate with the Fonta Flora barleywine - Periodic Motion.

I was able to keep the last crate very reasonable, it's basically just those Coconut Medianoches. Hope they drop something else good to make the shipping worthwhile.

I got one a Fonta Flora as well, plus a Sunday the day before. Three barley wines in the week leading up to my crate closing! A small part of me hopes the Double oak doesn't show up...

I picked up a bottle of Sunday while in LA for work. I'm finding fewer and fewer reasons to keep on Tavour.

I'm not sure I'd load up on ADWTD DO either. I think at this point, I'd like to do a side-by-side of this batch and last batch (can) and be done with it.

FWIW, we were discussing prices earlier. Last batch was in 16oz cans. This batch is in 375mL, which is smaller (~12.7oz). Hopefully that smaller format is enough difference for them to maintain pricing of the last release.
