TG Assassin Bottle Share - March 2018 - Quality Inn and Suites

Hey man I’d definitely be in. I’m flying in from Pittsburgh, can’t wait!

 

Definitely in! Road tripping up from Texas.

 

Definitely interested, especially on Friday night. I got the early session on Saturday so I probably won’t stick around for Saturday night.

 

We'll be staying there Friday night. Would be interested pending the couple Assassin Eve events we're hitting up on the way into town and if anything else pops up...

That's the flight I was looking at as well. Leaning towards booking it as of now.

 

How far of a drive is that after the flight

 

2 hours, 40 minutes in ideal conditions.

Out of curiosity, how exactly do these shares work?

Say there are...30 people? Do people just form small groups of 7ish? Then people sometimes move between?

Really curious how these things work.

 

It's the midwest, so there will be a lot of awkward small talk and politeness.

"So, ummm, do you want me to open this bottle of beer?"

"I mean, sure, but only if you want to. It's totally fine with me if you don't. I can open mine instead."

Flying in solo from Los Angeles, I'll bring some BL stuff and make awkard small talk

 

I live in Rochester, and MSP is one hour from my house, and 1 hour to the brewery. It should be about 2 hours.

 

Definitely not 2 hours. Driven there a number of times from the cities and it’s 2:45-3:00 every time.

 

My buddy and I will be there. Doing a couple of the pour parties around town and bringing plenty up. I can bring JK and other south goods.

Want to just plan on linking up in the lobby or eating area? Looks like some tables for breakfast are set up- could be a good spot. Maybe around 8 or something like that?

 

They do not tolerate drinking in public and WILL call the police if they see it without advance warning. Happened after recent Pulpit Rock release. Would have to be done in someone's room.

 

the hotel doesn't allow drinking in the lounge?

 

Never seen a hotel get upset about this before, and I have been to conferences much larger than any beer release where his is quite normal. I understand they were not in bum fuck Iowa, but I'd still be surprised.

Also, I am not sure that is considered "drinking in public."

 

So we want to get something started? I put my info on the spreadsheet but haven’t heard anything. I will be getting into town Thursday afternoon.

The laws vary by state but I know here in Texas you can’t legally consume personal alcohol in a hotel restaurant/dining area that also serves alcohol. Your room is a whole different story.

 

Interested in a Fri share or meeting up with some others out and about

 

We have 3 people coming from Louisville KY with a boat load of beer on Friday so if anyone is interested let us know. We ended up with a tiny cabin but don’t mind traveling somewhere to join a few others.

I'm interested.. staying at the Fairfield, but if it's low key, it shouldn't be too bad, as I've done that before at the hotel.. I had planned on opening a few Friday evening at the Fairfield. Have a few Cigar City BA bottles and Hops from Westbrooke on a recent South Carolina trip.
