IPA Fest in Cyberspace, our second beer fest of the year, is in the books! Big THANKS to all of you for joining us! It was awesome hanging on the Zoom calls too.

And thanks again to @HalfTime, the fest team (Talia, Britt, Claire), Lawson's (Sean), Breakside (Ben), Against the Grain (Jerry & Alex), Weather Souls (Jessie), New Realm (Mitch), Russian River (Vinnie), Revision (Mike), Hop Butcher (Justin), DC Brau (Jeff), Lamplighter (Tyler), Drekker (Mark), Steven from Indie, and my good friend and cohost Edgar (BeerThugLife) for joining us and dropping some knowledge.

I'm really missing in-person beer fests right now, but that was a lot of fun. Let's do it again! Save the dates for Lager Fest in Cyberspace on August 20 & 21!

In the meantime, help us host better beer fests by taking a moment to complete the following survey:

And feel free to share any feedback that you might have in this thread too.

    Cheers!

The GF pushed for this and I’m glad she did. It was fun to see what different brewers across the country are doing. Plus, as noted during the fest, I got my 51st state tick with a good beer.

Another reason I’m glad the GF pushed for this... I can push Lager Fest back on her

Thanks for putting it all together! Wasn’t able to join live but will be watching the videos and tasting tomorrow and Tuesday as that’s my weekend. Looking forward to it!

I was really impressed with the quality of all the beers, individually and as flights, and especially how fresh they all were. For an event of this size and spread that must have involved some serious planning and coordination - kudos.

I would have liked more time with the brewers, and more of what time there was spent talking about their beers. It seemed like the "30 minutes" got shorter and shorter, and the conversation less and less focused on their beer, as the event wore on (aka Edgar got drunker/higher!)

Thank you for this awesome experience to all involved!! Got to drink my favorite beer ever (Pliny) and try sooooo many new AMAZING beers. Now have a beer map to check out the breweries when travel is safe AND bugging buddies who live near the breweries featured here to go and support! My IPA palate is now messed up for a while; can't go back after having such good beer. Thank you again to all!

I just want to give thanks to everyone involved. I was able to hop on to both the Friday and Saturday virtual events, and today shared a few of the beers with some buddies that felt like the first "normal" day in some time.

I loved trying the DDH Pliny, the banter on Saturday with Hop Butcher and Revision, and just the overall vibe. Looking forward to Lagerfest, and please tell me that even in the new normal there will be a virtual component. This format is a great option for those who cannot travel to experience out of market breweries, and to expand the reach of beer-advocacy. Cheers all around!

Thanks to all who put it together and contributed. I was able to sit in on a couple of sessions and have to say the roasted duck porter story was priceless.

More entertaining and informative than I was expecting. Thanks to all that worked on this. For schedule reasons I had to watch on a time delay with one of my sons. Thought I would skip much more video than I did. Basically only skipped the intermissions.
All the beers were good but I really enjoyed the Pliny DDH and the HBFTW beer. Still have to crack the last two open and watch the end of the show.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was blown away with how much fun it was. I'd definitely partake in another cyberfest in the future. My wife is partially disabled, so the in-person festivals are difficult for us to attend. This was the most fun we've both had since the pandemic started. Great work Todd, Edgar and the whole team.

Really enjoy this fest just like the last one especially due to getting my hands on a few beers from brewery that have been on my list for a while. Look forward to seeing the offering for the lager fest. Hope even when in person fest come back this would still be an option that could be offered for people who can't attend for whatever reason.

Great time. Loved EBF too. Great selection of beer. The brewers were interesting and informative. Will definitely do more virtual fest, but looking forward to in person.

My only issue is fest members should have the ability to purchase more fest beer before everyone else. I saw the DDH Pliny was available from Half Time, but sold out.

This was a really fun event. Loved hearing from all the brewers. Great job by Half Time. Not too far or a drive for me, I can’t wait to visit their store (4000 beers!!!)

I think these events are great. Even when in-person fests are back (which I have been EAGERLY awaiting), I hope these can continue if it makes sense to do it. We're pretty busy people, so the option to enjoy some out of market beers and watch the content online at our leisure makes it easier to participate.

This was my 4th virtual fest, the 1st one that was spread out over 2 days.

As much as I want to get back to in-person fests, talk with brewers, and get annoyed by the amount of pretzel necklaces, I do like virtual fests.
Pros; not have to worry about a ride home, get full cans to enjoy instead of pours that are just 2 sips, no line to a Porta Potty, getting the drinks delivered to my doorstep.

I hope virtual fests keep being a thing, it's really convenient, and I get to drink more of an exclusive beer I can't always get where I live.

I sure enjoyed those beers, shared with a friend and wifey. I was surprised by a bad ass hangover from Hell. I lean towards the NEIPAs versus the West Coast styles so I appreciate the experience and education. One never knows until you try something different. Beer Advocate has been a good place to learn and I don’t mind being called a beer snob. Cheers to Lagerfest!

I had a blast!!! The best part was having full serves in the comfort of my own home. There were some great questions...some I would have asked and many I would not have thought of. Hope you have a Stout fest in the future :yum::+1:.
