My name is Tait and I work at Deep Ellum Brewing Company. Just wanted to say THANK YOU to all the supporters and I promise we'll be doing some other new things in 2013 ... including our first barrel aged American Barley Wine.

We sold our first beer 11/11/2011 and launched with Backslider Blonde (since retired) and Double Brown Stout. We added Festivus and Darkest Hour in 2011, but all the remaining beers we've released since came out in 2012. What a year!

Here's a list of beers in our first full year of production:
    • Backslider Blonde (discontinued)
    • Double Brown Stout (year round)
    • Deep Ellum IPA (year round)
    • Rye Pils (year round)
    • Dallas Blonde (year round)
    • Festivus (seasonal)
    • Farmhouse Wit (seasonal)
    • Rocktoberfest (seasonal)
    • Darkest Hour (Limited Release)
    • Cherry Chocolate Double Brown Stout (Limited Release)
    • Dreamcrusher (Limited Release)
    • Wealth & Taste (Limited Release)
    • Hop Seeker (Limited Release)
    • 1st Anniversary Brew (Limited Release)

If you'd like to read more about any of these beers, btw, feel free to download the PDF at http://bit.ly/DEBC_BeerDescriptions_10-2012

So, again, thank you and Happy New Year!

    Cheers,
    Tait

The Barley Wine sounds delish! Is it going to be bottled, and if so, sent around the DFW area? I'm in Fort Worth and see Deep Ellum in bottles here and there, I would love to get some of the Barley Wine. Great beers by the way! Keep it up.

The Rye Pils might be the most underrated Pils around. I love your stuff keep it, and send more to Houston.

    Howdy Tait!

I heard we got some DE IPA bottles here in Houston. Was this a limited shipment? I haven't seen it at any at my normal Specs or HEBs.

I've heard great things. Dallas gets all the good stuff, In n' Out, Capriotti's, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Tait, send bottles down south to San Antonio...with a cheerleader and a Double-Double (no pickles). Thanks.

I'll settle for just bottles ;-)

In n Outs will be opening in the Austin area in 2013, so you won't have to go quite so far for that. But we sure could use more Deep Ellum down this way.........

OK, some answers to some stuff posted above:

    * Barley wine might be bottled into 4 packs - haven't decided yet
    * Darkest Hour will probably be bottled, but not until the end of 2013 the next time it's made
    * We will expand bottling/canning to Houston/Austin in 2013, so stay tuned. Right now we must allocate it due to supply but expect to expand those capacities this year. Houston and Austin got very limited shipments of bottles at the beginning of January
    * Dreamcrusher is coming back out... probably February... watch for it. Might be bombers, might be 4 packs
    * Backslider Blonde was discontinued at the beginning of 2012. We came out with Dallas Blonde in August 2012 that is a year-round beer
    * If I had the power to send cheerleaders to San Antonio, I would send them to my place. I have no such powers :(

    Cheers!

In Austin, Whole Foods on Lamar and Central Market South Austin got some Rye Pils. In Houston, Central Market, Whole Foods Bellaire and Whole Foods Wilcrest got some bottles. That was it for Austin/Houston this go-around

I never saw any at WF Wilcrest. That is the worst WF in the city (although I believe the oldest). Luckily they have improved since the huge remodel of the beer/wine dept. and I hope will continue to do so.

I think you need to just come to Houston and bring me some. It's much easier that way. :D

you've been a most welcome addition to the local scene! You guys continually surprise me with the diversity and quality of your offerings. I've had 10 of your beers and not one of them was a miss. Especially like the IPA, Wealth and Taste, and Festivus!

Thanks so much! We've enjoyed our first year a lot and love the feedback!

Cherry Chocolate Double Brown Stout drops the first part of February followed up by Dreamcrusher (triple IPA) at the end of February, then Numb Comfort which is the American Barley Wine I referenced earlier that's been aging in rye whiskey barrels since April of last year.

    Cheers!

Like I said on your Fb page, I'm hoping some bottles of these make it to Austin. I came to your event at Black Star last year and had a chance to chat with you guys, and I have to say that CCDBS and Dreamcrusher were 2 of the best beers I had all of last year. Phenomenal stuff, and hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more of it.

I was really impressed with your IPA...which I think is a great achievement considering all the IPA's out there. One of the best regular lineup beers from a new brewery I've ever had!
