Just to get into the Thanksgiving spirit, what are you all planning on drinking for the big dinner this long weekend?

We're planning on the Schadenfreude Pumpkin Oktoberfest, as well as a few big bottle pumpkins to sample and share amongst the extended family.

Every year, I trade for 2-3 bottles of NG Raspberry Tart. Always a hit.

First up is a three year vertical of Mayflower brewery's Thanksgiving Ale. Then some New Belgium La Folie and Le Terroir. Then maybe finish off the night with a Black ops or some Imperial Stout Trooper.

Ommegang Aphrodite. This beer was MADE for Thanksgiving. As a culinary experience, Thanksgiving dinner tends to be a mess of a meal with all the crazy sides mixed in with your turkey. Do you choose a thicker stout, porter, Pumpkin ale, IPA? For some reason though, I've found that Aphrodite pairs great with this specific meal, maybe because it has a lot in common with cranberry sauce/relish. Give it a whirl, it works!

Ditto on the '11 Abyss, great dessert beer. Maybe some FW DDBA, or an '11 OCD as well. Also a couple bottles of Sartori Harvest with some appetizers pre dinner. Love Thanksgiving.

Rogue Imperial IPA and Ovila Quad... Probably a few Mill St pumpkin ales and a few Spearheads in between. Can't wait for tomorrow to come!
