Stroh's and it's gone, at the time it was the best thing i'd ever tasted. I was 7 or 8 years old and remember Dad letting me "have one of my own", you never forget for first buzz.

I'll guess Olympia as that's what my parents seemed to buy the most back in the day. Does anyone want to volunteer to try it now and let me know if it's any good? :-)

It's safe to say that for many of the posts above, while a beer of the same brand name is still marketed, "they still don't make" the same beer as the original brewery.

Nope. Stroh's Beer (brewed in a MillerCoor facility for Pabst, so obviously no longer "Fire Brewed".)

My uncle turned me on to Schlitz when I was probably about eight.

First beer I ever drank the whole can was Miller High Life.

First beer I ever threw up before passing out in a snowbank was Haffenreffer. I don't know if they still make it somewhere or not but I think Sam Adams took over the old brewery.

If the sip from Dad while painting the house when you were a kid counts its was a Bud. If not it was probably a Meister Bräu...and thankfully "it has ceased to be!"

    Yes. Red Horse.

Last time I drank it (4-5 bottles), I was knocking at the neighbor's door half-naked.

Labatt Blue when I lived back in Ontario. It's one of the staples of Canada.

Tasted like piss back then, now it's just acquired piss hahah

First beer I drank was a Beck's Dark from my dad's fridge when I was 23...

I kinda want to try one again and see if I actually like it now, or if at least it's a lot more drinkable to me now than it was then. Definitely didn't like it back then, though I suppose that's not surprising considering it was my first taste of any form of beer. XD

They still make it as far as I'm aware, but it doesn't seem like they distribute it anywhere around here anymore -- I've seen the regular Beck's in stores all over the place, but neither I or Dad have been able to find the Dark (which used to be his usual "always some in the fridge" beer for a pretty long time) anytime recently.

I think it was Meister Bräu - remember me and some buddies split a 12 pack before JHS or HS football practice. One of many great ideas back then.

My little brother and I each stole a Pilsner Urquell from my dad and his Czech buddies. We must have been 9 and 10. We thought it was so nasty! I finished mine and I'm pretty sure I was buzzed pretty good. My little brother probably got one or 2 gulps down lol. We were little shitheads back then...
Funny, now I really enjoy it all the time. Love that beer.

Yes, my first post is about my first beer!

3.2 Coors from Oklahoma when I was 15 or 16. At that time girls who were 18 could buy beer in OK but guys had to be 21. A friend's older sister who was 18 bought us a couple of six-packs while we were camping at Lake Texoma.

Sips of Coors Winterfest from my dad's dinner beer when I was a kid. Sentimental beer for me but I don't think they make it anymore, ISO if anyone can find it. First beer I got hammered on was a keg of Red Wolf. I hope to god they stopped making that.

I can remember back in the early 70's it was better than Bud. My Bud drinking friends called it "MicheSNOB" because it cost more than most American brews. Then they changed it and made it exactly like Bud.

Old Milwaukee was my first beer. Remember my dad and uncles drinking this, and can still remember the nasty smell of a freshly cracked can of this brew. And yes, being the 1960s, these were cans with pull tops where the consumer would either drop the top in the can and risk the chance of swallowing it and choking, or would just toss them on the ground and risk the chance of stepping on them with bare feet (this was in Florida) and slicing their foot open.
