THE best new beer of 2014

    This was easily my favorite beer in 2014 (new to me). Based on reviews, however, it seems to have been around since 2009. Based on 2014 releases only, I'd submit Figueroa Mountain's Bieré De Ménage and Hammerheart's Imperial Longship.

    The best beer I've had that was actually created this year was Enjoy By 4/20. Hands down.

    Bruery Smooth Criminal was outstanding and for hops, BB Substance or Crusher has to be it. Dinner, King Sue and Scream were amazing but I think those other two have the edge. If I had to pick 1, I'd go w/ Substance.

    Society and Solitude #7
    Dinner
    3-Way IPA

    Mastermind was incredible, but it seems to have been initially released in '13. It's too good not to mention, though.
