Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout (I'm counting it because it has a very similar flavor/mouthfeel to a milk stout)

[IMG] Finch's Secret Stache Stout is a good one. And I'll go along with Samuel Smith's Organic as one of the best.

I don't typically drink Milk Stouts and Lancaster is the only one I've had. I found it enjoyable and very drinkable. Nice and light all around. I just drank a six yesterday.

    In no particular order:
    FFF Moloko Milk Stout
    Terrapin Moo Hoo
    Youngs Double Chocolate
    Duck Rabbit Milk Stout
    Left Hand Milk Stout
Butternuts Moo Thunder (often underrated, but quite good)

The Samuel Smiths Organic Chocolate Stout is just a bit too sweet for my tastes. I have not had a chance to try the Stone Milk Stout yet but would love to give it a shot

A little over-carbonated but still pretty good and cheaper than Left Hand. I would also recommend Lancaster Milk Stout.

It's better than all the local craft milk stouts I have tried and about the same price.

Holy Moloko! It's the best milk stout I've ever tasted. And the worst smelling farts I've ever produced. Win win!

Had French Quarter Temptress for the third time last week, blew me away (as it has every time)...EXTREMELY good beer, and something that would impress the hell out of people if it was not draft only once a year (although they are said to be bottling next year)...

Keegan Ales brewery is actually in Kingston, NY if someone wants to visit it. About 45mins straight north of Newburgh. But agree those are good ones to try and can be found all over the Hudson Valley ... and looks like they dist to NY/NJ/CT based on website

Can't wait to try this one...No clue what bourbon-aged coffee is, and adding chicory feels perhaps a bit redundant, but Lakewood can do no wrong when it comes to Temptress variants.

Brash Smoglifter may be one of the best sweet/milk stouts I've ever tried. It's a bit on the aggressive side in terms of alcohol, but what great taste and texture! Easily one of the more viscous stouts out there.

Finch's is definitely another fave, especially if you can get it fresh. (They don't date their cans, which is a shame.) One of the few stouts out there vanilla--not chocolate or coffee--flavor predominates.

I concur with most of the beers suggested here (especially a shout out for local boys ATG and their 35k Milk Stout/70K Imperial Milk Stout). But… one that keeps popping up in this thread isn't actually a milk stout...

Bell's Special Double Cream Stout - NOT a milk stout, says so right on the bottle (no dairy used in the product); the name is a misnomer.

Love to hear this. We are on the outer banks and saw this yesterday. I picked up the Duck Rabbit brown ale first. Now I am looking forward to the milk even more.
