Cable Car or Rare. Had Double Oaked Kate in there briefly, wasnt worth its weight in liquid
All bruery anniversary brews
10th Anniversary Utopias
I need to go open something now!!
Oh hello oxidation.
2006 Dogfish Head Fort
2008 Stone IRS
DFH Life & Limb Batch 1 & 2
Jester King Boxer's Revenge Batch 1 (probably drink this soon)
Rare, CBS, Bourbon DL, 07 BCBS
These are definitely up there on my list.
Rare...until I open it next year.
What are the years on those?
My crown Jewels
2009 BBA Double Bastard
2011 Black Tuesday
All 1968's. Three available sizes for the first year's batch.
In my cellar there is equality among all beers (and wines). They're all just happy to be there.
A case combined of Dark Lord and Kate the Great.
...but I'm opening it during an end of the world beer tasting on Friday...
Are there any plans for that to be opened?
Yeah I'll be opening it fairly soon at a Barley Wine tasting which will include:
2000 Jubel Millennium
2010 Jubel Once a Decade
+ Heavy Weight Old Salty (vintages 2000 - 2005 + 2005 BA)
This beer/vintage is absolutely incredible....had two (12oz) within the last few years and they've both been insanely delicious.
Wow, I feel out of place here. But for me (especially considering how poor the selection is in Canada) its a 2 year old Rochefort 10. And runner up would be a 2 year old Quel Que Chose.
Wow that is very encouraging news! Thanks for the feedback!
If I had to choose one, it would be Churchill's Finest Hour 2012.
I've only recently gotten serious but my favorites (and my entirety):
2012 Surly Smoke and a Darkness
2012 Goose Island BCBCS and a Night Stalker
2011 Brau Bros. Rye Wyne Ale
I've got to move these to the off site wine cellar soon, I don't know how you ladies and gents sleep in the same place as these beers you speak of.
6 pack of westy.
I also have 2011 Dfh120min and a 2006 Raison D'Etre which I havent gotten around to yet.
Look at all these girthy beer peens.
lol. Probably need some sort of circumcision tool to get the wax off of the veiny ones.
This has to be the crown jewel of mine.
I'd have to say my 07,11, 12 bottles of Utopias
2010 westy 12
2011 kuhnhenn bbbw
2006 fort, just because its fun and it will be drank this New Years.
I'm sure there are many others but I just can't think of them right now.
Hmmmmmm... That's not true. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to sell beer in a store. Or I could take home all the beer and invoice them as I drank them.
3F Malvasio Rosso
Narke Kaggen Stormaksporter
That would be my top-5 of hart to get beers... Although the newly obtained Stille Nacht Reserva is pretty cool as well
I simply mean that the beer in my cellar doesn't really have any value to me until after I've consumed it. Talking about the beer in my cellar is quite frankly stupid. Talking about the beer I just consumed, preferably next to a couple people I shared it with.... That's where I find the value. So beer in the cellar is just...potential value. Where beer's concerned, once I buy a beer...I don't gauge the value in $'s. Money's spent. All that's left is what you do with it.
Not a crazy cellar right now, but some highlights:
Town Hall Twisted Jim
Deschutes Jubel 2010
Surly Darkness 2012
Dark Lord 2012
No whales here.
18 EC Eclipse
A bottle of midnight suns good mojo, given to me by the brewer who only hand bottled a handful of them when the beer was brewed.
Might be the weekend to crack that guy finally
He's brewin in India right now for Barking Deer, and I surely hope his kickin ass out there and having a good time, he's a good guy.
The rotted cardboard box where all my hoarded beers once sat.
If we're being so literal/precise: once you drink it, all that's left is a memory, no? And for many people, there is some value to looking at beer and knowing you have it, even anticipating drinking it. So, I don't think these lines are clear.
Two cases of Westy 12
Two Westy 12 bricks
That's right, 60 bottles of that glorious nectar sitting in my beer cellar!
12 cases of Alexander Rodenbach (I've been sitting on these since 1988)
50+ different Coronation Ales 1953
Barclay Perkins Russian Imperial Stout 75cl bottling 1935 (5 bottles), 1953 (3 bottles) not the Barclays Imperial Stout, this is a completely different beer (rather boring).
1 bottle of PiaPT. I drank the other 3 that I had within 3 months of the release....... had I known!?!?!
