    So I decided, at last minute, brew a citra hefe today. I'm in the middle of mashing and I open the drawer where I keep my 5 gal paint strainer bags for hops... and its EMPTY!! I am out of hop strainer!! And with a plate chiller, I can't just thow in the pellet hops, that would be disaster!

    So, no problem, I call the wife, she's in town, have her stop at the hardware store and get them. 30 min later, she calls back, NONE of the hardware stores have them! CRAP!!!

    I start improvising in my head, comming up with ideas. While thinking, I wander down to my fermentation room to get some PWB, and in the bucket, UNDER the PBW container is an old bag, that I had washed and then thrown in there!! I'M SAVED!!

    I would have totally raided the wife's sock drawer for some stockings/hose. Not perfect but a good substitute. Just deal with the consequences later. :wink:
