I thought the Lab was alright. I do tend to favor Lady Face a bit more, but if you're looking for the very basic in styles, the lab has you covered.

It's more like a restaurant that happens to brew beer than a brewery that serves food too.

I was there over the weekend for a party and had the DIPA, Milk Stout, IPA, and Tripel. I thought the DIPA was the best of the four. Everything else was pretty standard but certainly not bad.

I also think, however, that Ladyface is the best in the area. I haven't been disappointed by one of their beers yet.

I've been there a few times. It's an option for the area. Some where near the half notch above a BJ's restaurant imo, but the food is decent to good imo. They have tasters & guest taps too. I agree with previous posters, that it’s more a restaurant that also brews their own beer, then a brewery with a restaurant. For me, the best part of where this is though, is you actually have 4 total craft beer destinations options within a 2 to 3 mile stretch, and all on the same street, being Agoura Road. Depending on where your coming from there is/are

The Lab, Ladyface Ale house & Brasserie, Wolf Creek Brewing, and Wades Wines.

Now, Ladyface is probably the best known for the area and there are plenty of reviews on this site & Yelp for that one that speak for themselves. I will say that Wolfcreek is similar to The Lab, and I put it in the BJ’s type experience for a destination. Nothing against either, just trying to set a realistic expectation if your choose either of those two is all. Now, Wades Wines is a bit of an anomaly, where as it’s a store that sells beer, wine & Liquor, that added a tasting room, which they call the “Malibu Sundowner Tasting Room” They boast something like 80+ taps I think, and as I’ve read also brew their own beer (where and how I’m not clear) but they have more limited hours, I’d recommend calling to confirm. Also it's behind the commerical spot its located in, with the storefront facing the freeway.

I've been to both several times.

Beer Quality & Selection= Ladyface is excellent. Lab is decent.
Food= The Lab is really good. Ladyface is pretty good.
Service & Attitude= Lab are average. Ladyface are not good.

When I get to choose between the two, I have been picking The Lab as of late.
