Was asking MCMasterSanchez so I could get him a Sexual Chocolate that's the same year as the BASC he just picked up.

In general they release Sexual Chocolate right before Valentine's Day (which is why I have 2018 already) and then BASC is released in August or September. Except 2016 they released BASC in May and now every time I have trouble remember which year they did that with. 2018 should be back to the normal schedule. I think they hinted (or maybe straight-out said) that the Dead and Berried variant they've done a couple times will be bottles this year. But if it means having to get in line at 2am then I'm out The three associated bottle shares are fun and all (night before in the brewpub, overnight in the parking lot, morning of release in the brewpub), but I mostly just show up an hour or two after the release has started these days.

 

Received my Summer Sixer box from @Dave_Treat today. Seems he follows rules like I do. I'll start with the extras first.

And now on to the sixer of unmarked bottles guess I get to chose which day I drink them.

Believe it or not, I might actually have a couple of those lurking around. I know I have some Todd The Axe Man and Hopslam...

All jokes aside, I had actually made that post about 1hr after placing a Schramm's order I just find it hard to dish out that kind of money for something that I can only enjoy a few ounces at any given time.

Its not even 10 minutes outside of Kohler, how the hell can you not fit that into a schedule?

Not too many fresh hops at the moment that I'd feel comfortable sending to the East coast.

 

If you send another box I will consider it a trade for east coast hops.. seems like you are out

You should look up Larsen Meadworks.....it’s local to me and makes what I think are fantastic meads. They are not the sweet sugar bombs like many of the others...I think they are a nuanced take on mead with subtle flavors of hops and other things.

The owner Nathan is a former cop and bartender and some of his stuff has the flavors of a mixed drink.

It’s sort a look.

The majority of my trips out there are 2-3 days and I'm taking a group of engineers/contractors to tour the factory, design center, and eat/drink their faces off at the various Kohler restaurants (Blackwolf Run is phenomenal BTW). Just hard to get away for a little unless one of the group is also into beer.

@dannyfayy said I could drink this whenever, but I'll play along with what's labeled. Taller slim bottle with a covered silver cap. I was fully expecting either Pliny or Blind Pig, but that color said otherwise. Couldn't for the life of me think of what other brewery used this bottle/cap combo.



Completely forgot about MBC, I've had plenty of their beers, but this one has always eluded me for some reason. Not today, @dannyfayy brings it home with a long time want, and it's not even an official day! Thanks again Dan, now I'm even more pumped to see what else you've got in store!

Those two cans were from their first ever canning run last Thursday. Plus, they're only five minutes down the road, so that was an easy pick-up for me.

 

If you're off on the 4th, swap day 4 and 5. 4 just turned a little heavy.
