And here’s the kill shot. It’s been a great round and I got to try some awesome beers. Thanks a ton to my sender @treznor. Not pictured was day one as there was a little accident, but Maple Syruption more than made up for it. Still got a couple extras to get through soon.

Day 5. Another similar looking waxed bottle. Dark maroon this time. Not a stout. Looks like a bw. Little thicker maybe.

I was wrong. Thought it a barleywine. Quadfather! Awesome beer! Thanks @robgage

Day 6 from @JNForsyth is buggy and hoppy - and fucking delicious. Maybe some kind of dry hopped Casey Oak Theory - Motueka Mosaic would be my 1st two guesses?

So, this is a peanut butter stout. Pretty good one though. Can't tell which one though. Don't think it's a Bruery or Yellow Belly. I don't know Jackie O's well enough to know if they have such a beer. @Devman171, you should get this beer.

Didn't know this version existed. Strong Peanut Butter, but smoothed out by the coffee. Judging by the low number ratings, @Devman171, you will not be able to get this beer. Sorry.

I have been avoiding cascade sours because of the oft-present bandaid flavor, but this one is absolutely delicious. The barrel really adds to this one, and the acidity is low- I definitely didn’t need the fist full of Pepcid I crushed after smelling the cork. Thanks dude!

Happy 4th of July y’all! The last day of Summer Sixer from @Cbrodbeck… Beer poured a very viscous black color with a nice tan head. Aromas of bourbon soaked dark fruit and chocolate jumped from the glass. I knew I had a BA stout of some kind, but I wasn’t sure what. This was a welcome sight considering all the practice I had with big BA beers yesterday. I knew it wasn’t a FB beer based on the bottle cap. And, I knew it was a small operation because of the dimple in the bottle cap. Probably from a brewery I am not familiar with…

As this warmed, I got lots of sweetness and even more bourbon. But it turns out this is a rye whiskey BA stout, not bourbon. The reveal also indicated that vanilla beans were added, likely giving me the sweetness. Another Bangin’ Banjo beer called “Home.” This was a very tasty offering from them. From what I have had from them, they make some great beers, and this was no exception. Home was a great way to end this Summer Sixer. I think you would really like this one @campa!

Below is my kill shot of all 6 days. Thanks for the wonderful ride, Charlie. And thank you for sending me some tasty local beers from your neck of the woods! I notched a couple new ticks and revisited some previous beers that I really enjoyed.

Below is a pic of my extras, most of which were enjoyed prior to the Summer Sixer. And that popcorn was a big hit at a bottle share I hosted prior to the Summer Sixer! Cheers to you, @CBrodbeck!!!

I still need to drink day4b. But I'll save it for tomorrow. I had 4 stouts and a strong ale tonight. I need something sour.

*** full disclosure- my wife was grabbing bottles before I could open them, and this one she said “you’re splitting this with me”. So I knew it was going to be good.

Home from the 2nd pool party in two days... its a rough life I guess? Somehow we managed to drink a ton of frozen liquor drinks, knock back a sixtel of SeaQuench, and then break into the beers that we brought. Good day?

Anyway, onwards to Day 5 since I'm behind a day. Cork says Speciation so... its probably a Speciation beer. I think. Think is really nice and tropically (yeah, its a word).

Specialtion Facilitated Adaptation, solera sour ale aged in tequila barrels with pineapple and denali hops. Considering the tequila I was drinking earlier, this one is oddly fitting. The pineapple really comes through and this is overall a real treat to drink. Thanks @core42!

Sadly, the 6er comes to an end, but with one hell of a bang! I had an idea what was in store. 12oz bottle, silver wax. Big stout with a fuckload of barrel. I knew (mostly) what it was as soon as I tried it:

Voodoo Black Magick aged in Willett barrels. I had the Rye barrel at Huna 2017, and the 4 Roses barrel at Huna 2018. I think this one might be a touch better than the 4 Roses IIRC. Thanks again for a stellar ride @dannyfayy !

    Day #6 from @Devman171

Got back to the hotel late tonight after watching fireworks in Estes Park. Decided to open the caged and corked 750.

Poured out dark. Aroma was different, got a fruity aroma. Taste followed suit with the fruit. Tart cherry flavor. Not sure if that is intentional or not. No clue on this one. Would guess either a sour stout or an infected stout.

2016 Porter Baltique from Les Trois Mousquetaires. Aged in bourbon and brandy barrels. Definitely going with the infected porter on this one. Bummer, sounded like it could have been really good.

Opened Day 6 last night, cork and caged 750ml, slightly fruit sour but I can't figure out what the fruit is for the life of me. Maybe Kiwi?

Wrong, Upland PawPaw. Damn tasty beer and good way to finish this out. Thanks for the great beer (and bourbon) Michael!

    Day Six, so bittersweet.

It poured darker than expected and the nose had me thinking a dark sour. Someone said maybe Black Project based on that description. There was a nice balance between fruit, barrel and tartness.

    Reveal:

@Jawnnm actually guessed the style based on picture and description.

I can't thank @Kramerbarthomer enough for an amazing Six Days of Summer. Final killshot will come later this evening.
