Most people think I'm keeping it cold... You, sir, are a man after my heart.

Every dollar that doesn't go to heat goes to better things. Like beer.

 

We have a programmable thermostat so the house is warm when we get home, but my definition of comfortable is 66 or at most 68. My wife likes 72. Plus, when she comes inside from being outside and is cold, she immediately raises the heat no matter what it's at.

So if I am home with the thermostat at 70 (where she had it) and I hear the garage opening, I immediately lower it to 68; she comes in and raises it to 70 and is happy.

And on weekends we are probably usually at 72, she has a blanket, and I am in a T-shirt (and sometimes shorts).

Pellet stove in our fireplace 3 or 4 years ago was the best investment ever.

 

I like Alter Ego and Green better than Julius but still love Julius.

 

If possible, I plan on taking an unwrapped picture every morning, then unwrapping the bottle so I know what I'm looking forward to. And will post wrapped and unwrapped/poured pics daily with a 6 bottle kill shot Monday night.

 

Our winters don't compare but the T-stat stays on 65 so I can make up for what it cost to cool the house during the summer.

 

My wife knows better than to touch the thermostat. It's not worth the grumpiness that will ensue. Also, she is just as frugal as me.

I keep my thermostat at 69... The GF seems to be pleased.

Well, since @Mipper and @Houser can't really be considered lurkers anymore, somebody needs to fill that role. I've met a fair number of you (even if @ninjembro doesn't remember) and randomly blown up a porch, so yeah, I may lurk in once in a while.

I thought Alter Ego and Julius were very close, with slight edge going to Alter Ego due to the hops combo. Never tried Green, so can't speak to that.

 

Sorry Drew this round will come down to Ajay and Jason. The family will head out sometime tomorrow morning on an 8 hour tour. It should be pretty close to down the middle between their guesses actually.
