So I feel I have a fairly strong showing for this edition of anti-hording Thursday.

It's Lord Rear Admiral from three floyds oh no no wait it is actually Lord Admiral Nelson which was the old name for Lord Rear Admiral before they were forced to change the name for some reason I forget.

This was one of the first beers I bought when I started my cellar. I could not find a bottle date but I'd estimate it's at least 5 years old

This was an extra in my first trade, rated an 83 here on BA. Passed over this every time I've seen it. This was much better than I expected. Maybe the age helped it out.

 

I'll be in the Charleston area in August... Vacationing for the eclipse.

PSM is better than people think. I should revisit a 4 pack one of these days.

Not drinking til February. But I had some excellent options for this. You should bring it back next month.

I first tasted Uinta Labyrinth on tap at City Beer Store and thought it was one of the best dark beers I've tasted. So when I saw it at Costco for $15 or something, I grabbed one for my cellar. Since then I've been meaning to drink it, but never got around to it. This was bottled in January 2013 and is 13% ABV.

2009 Troegs Mad Elf
I still remember getting hammered in college on Mad Elf drafts (this was in 2005-ish). And loving Mad Elf. Nowadays, it doesn't bring the same excitement. Carbonation held up, cherry flavor was very faint. Still pretty boozy.

 

I think BOTH Screw boxes should be landing later today.

 

That beer holds up really well. One of the only DFH beers I like. I opened a 2011 over the summer w/ @PA-Michigander and @Jwilford23 and it was fantastic. Pretty smooth for 12%.

 

The wood character got just a little harsh as it warmed up, but it was mostly pretty decent.

I still have one left from 2014, too. I'll probably hang onto it for awhile longer.

Hill Farmstead Anna is the screw bottle, will pop that sucker tomorrow when I get off work, can't wait, been trying to taste that for awhile now!

Extras are Java Cask, a beer which I have been meaning to open from my cellar, but now I'll pop this sucker! Fantome / Jester King Del Ray. Damn this looks awesome as fuck, I've only had one or two JK bottles and never had any Fantome, can't wait! Cheers, and #L4fuckingL !

So a buddy is also having a kid due here in the next month or two (I forget when) but we are doing a diaper party/bottle share that I'm calling a baby bottle share. He's cracking open his DL vert which is 11-16 plus I'm bringing my 09 and 10 so that makes an 8 year vert plus I think some are bringing BA DL and other beers. Needless to say it's gonna be epic and pics will be posted of what we kill for you all.

Plus in my local BA beer group we have a guy moving away so we are sending him off in style so that's another epic share.

Major **** on the way in the next few weeks.
