Yeah, but then they expanded distro to more states so it didn't really help with allotments per store, just got spread out more.

As long as the article is directly addressed at defeating misinformation, I'm forced to wonder what the author's sources were in determining Founders' relative profits of KBS vs. a flagship as a function of time/space, exactly how the brewery negotiates the trade-off, the determination of their brewing schedule, and the like. The article is surely intuitive, but it hardly seems factual.

i agree. the best way to defeat misinformation is with real information, not hypotheticals.

Sure, but that would require a very detailed look into the production planning schedules of several breweries from several years ago. If you have all of that lying on your desk, by all means, please share. However, I think this article does a good job of addressing the main issues that breweries have to deal with. I doubt that a significant portion if ba's have considered that.

There was a period of time in 2010 (and I think only in 2010), when the minimum number of reviews needed for the top 100 was a little over 100. At all other times (at least since I joined in 06) it has been 10. Hence lists from that year that look a little less "rare" heavy.

Consumer entitlement meets a commodity culture. People holding the commodity always win.
