    Kind of a lazy, incomplete piece, but it is interesting to hear about some of the revolt taking place when breweries fail or don't act quickly enough. I wish they'd gone into more detail about Stone too. Again, feel it's a weak piece, but still worth some discussion.

    Business owners: you may have people wanting that product you promised them for their money.

    Funders: an investment, even a small one, in an unproven, still nonexistent, business started by someone you've never heard of may not end well.

    I don't know if I would call them perils as much as common sense.

    The problem with crowd funding is that it is done in a way that is more seen as fun and charity on the part of the people providing the funding than something to be taken seriously. And then from the standpoint of the entrepreneur there is sometimes more time spent and emphasis put on providing 'perks' to backers than actually building the business.
