How did supermassive turn out guys?
  2. Coldstorage

Had a pour yesterday when picking up bottles. Standard TRB style sharp lacto base w/ very juicy fruit characteristic. Seems like the currants were lapping the blackberries.

quick question i did an ip trade for a home sour, home and the bottle stated blend 2 on hte label, how many times has this beer been released?

  4. billf

    billf Jul 31, 2012 California

just once, the "Blend" on RB bottles is just the overall number of batches of beer they have bottled in total. SKU's Me was #1, and Home Sour was #2.

The Bruery's Copperversary - Our friends at The Bruery are celebrating their 7th Anniversary this Saturday! Come say hi and enjoy one of the four beers we'll be pouring at their party, if you're joining them on this special day.

Only 2 beers are listed that they are bringing so I'd say safe to assume one of them will be Another World. I wonder what the other one will be.....?

Rare Barrel needs to stop it with this madness. I still haven't gone in to purchase Forces Unseen yet...and now THIS?!?!? Credit card company is gonna love me this month.

Ensorcelled and Home, Sour Home are the two beers if people are interested.

My guess is forces unseen and another world

With that lineup it's not hard to guess the most popular brewery of the event  I could drink Forces all day

If Another World is a "Red Sour" does that mean it is a Flanders Red?
What makes it red? What is the base (unless it IS the base)
  16. funbutt88

    funbutt88 May 22, 2006 California

The base beer is red. They actually make 3 base beers(blond, red, dark). Flanders reds tend to have other types of bacteria in them than the ones that Rare Barrel uses.

I am running tight on funds, may only buy one Another World.

Also, is that a new batch of Home, Sour Home? The first batch was unreal fresh but someone told me by November the vanilla was taking over?
  22. AndrewK

    AndrewK Oct 20, 2006 California

Had a bottle of the first batch a couple months ago, and only the cinnamon had really remained.

The home sour home is perfection. This year's batch at the bruery party. Jay said they brought down the cinnamon level so it's super balanced. Best beer at the event. Supermassive by the bottle was right behind it. Amazing beers coming out from them. They are so dialed in
  26. JayPeso

    JayPeso Oct 25, 2013 California

Glad to hear it. No pours of Another World today?
  27. clayfu

    clayfu Apr 27, 2010 California

No another world. Also poured 2014 map of the sun which was drinking nicely. More subdued but apricot was still there.

Ensorcelled was a touch too acidic off tap
  28. grze

    grze Apr 17, 2012 Virginia

I wasn't that impressed with HSH, it wasn't much better that Sourrento. Definitely not worth any wait at the fest. Ensorcelled was very good though.

I couldn't be bothered with the Rare Barrel line. It isn't like they had something that wasn't coming in bottles.
  30. sourdog

    sourdog Feb 24, 2014 California

Home, Sour Home was killer on tap at the Bruery party yesterday. One of my top 3 beers at the event. The balance of cinnamon and vanilla was on point. That line was insane though. HSH kicked around 1:20 so unlikely anyone coming in under an RS ticket was able to get a pour.
  31. atpca

    atpca Jun 10, 2013 California

Looking forward to the bottles. The cinnamon was way too much for me last year, but most of my friends loved it.
  32. clayfu

    clayfu Apr 27, 2010 California

Jay said they toned down the cinnamon in this batch. Like Sourdog said it was perfectly balanced. It was probably the best beer I had at the Bruery party.

  36. JayPeso

    JayPeso Oct 25, 2013 California

Was on the fence as well, but only about the quantity I should buy. I've had no problem blindly spending for their $30 beers so at $18 each, I picked up 9...but I think it was partly due to my regret of not maxing out on Forces. Saw a random tick on untappd with 5 out of 5 bottle caps if that makes it easier.
