1. jl28r1 is really old. (And bald, and muppet like)
2. He subscribes to my belief that only the 1st line of any post deserves any attention. Anything after that is deemed tl:dr. Much like this very post of mine.
First muppet joke in over a year!
2 ounces? That's a nice pour, count me in! lol
I will for sure be out. Matt, sorry, too lazy to go back and reply, but I will bring a Cherries of Fire for sharing, sorry but I only got one so none for trade. I had planned on bringing Bairille Aois, but unfortunately, some schmuck at UPS threw out all the beer in my box I mailed to myself when I was in Ohio. Amazingly, all non-beer items made it safely, and none were wet or smelled of beer. Just minus 17 bottles of beer, half bombers.I will have several other goodies in tow, sparing the news of what as I hear there was a request for no list?(whose request, just curious?)
Craig and I will be leaving early Sat. morning as usual from Houstonish, but he did book a hotel in SA for Saturday night. After seriously almost falling asleep on the way home last time, I will not be driving to and from in the same day any longer. Kevin will not be coming, as he opted for JK for Zwanze, and neither of us could do both.
Look forward to seeing y'all there. Freetail releases have become my favorite, as it is all my favorite beer peoples from all the great cities of TX!! )
I don't know what your talking about.
Im bringing a 2005 Red Dog. Mmmmmmmmm.
My HEB had Red Dog shirts for sale until just a few weeks ago. They never had my size so....
Got 4 extra jk zwanze glasses if someone wants some at the bottle release. Don't really want anything special for em. Just cash or a decent beer. Would prefer to get a couple glasses each to a couple BA's to make it easy but I'm flexible if needed. Anyways, hit me up if your looking for em.
Would love one if you're local to Houston or would be willing to hand off to a proxy trader
Shoot me a bm and the last one is yours. I'm in Austin so it'd have to be through the freetail release.
Thanks! Will do in the morning. Just about to fall asleep
I love Red Dog, it has a special place in my heart. When I was still 20 and in college, a fine youthful "salesman" showed up at my door. He was selling magazine subscriptions to raise money...you know how the story goes. We ended up partaking in something that is now "legal" in some states and I drove him to the store to buy some beer for us. He walked out with a 12'er of Red Dog. We drank it all back at my apartment, it was a great day. The end.
Could have been, but he was selling magazines
I thought it might have been Matt.
I could bring it to you. May not be able to get to to you immediately...have you got someone to handle this, and if not, will you be at the Houston Saucer tasting on the 29th? That would make for an easy delivery. I would PM this, but just figure it is easier to get to both parties here. I'm feeling kinda lazy here....
Hehe thanks for the offer but I have a proxy trader already.
Very good, sir.
Are you staying at the Super Hate again this year?
If willing, I may need a proxy. I'll let you know.
Just glassware I think.
How late does this party usually go on for?
The bottle share has to end by 10:45, because the restaurant opens at 11. But some people stick around, eat and drink for a while after that.
Gotta have some of those delicious eats after drinking all that delicious brew.
lulz...not this year. The wife is coming and is requesting something with ceilings higher than 7 ft. and no burn stains on the side of the bathtub
herbs and red dog go hand in hand brother.
LOL, I have stayed there and that is a perfect description
If you don't stay and have some pizza and beer at the bar once they open, you can't come back to the next one. I am super serial!!!
So when does this actually start? I'm guessing 8 when wristbands start getting handed out?
Rob, I can do that. Does that mean you aren't going to be there?
People start drinking whenever they get there. But it seems that the majority of people arrive between 8-11
Downside: I'm out of jk zwanze glassware
11 dark lord
OG black metal
12 uncle Jacobs
11 stone RIS belgo anise
I may find another beer or two to bring for the share. I'm bringing a couple friends(not mules, they'll be keeping their bottles) so I need to help cover their way.
ISO homebrew trade FT saison, ipa, and about to bottle a pumpkin porter.
Sadly, no. I'm in MI this weekend and have the kid next. No travel for me.
I'll let you know I it works out.
I got a nice offer to stay over on Friday night from a friend who has an original sleep number bed in his spare bedroom, either this, are wake up at the crack of dawn and torpedo down IH-10.
Only in his wildest of dreams.
Any Taco Truck updates?
I will be a torpedo myself. With little to no sleep, because I get to work late Friday night. Oh...the things I do to get my Freetail on.
Would one of you clever fuckers change the words to the Monday Night Football song to make it Freetail release/tasting related? I tried and as Miikezombie would point out, I'm old and lose focus to easily. Here is the original (I think) :
Welcome to the party, all my rowdy friends,
A Monday Night Bash on ESPN!
The game of the week, is about to ignite
Time to kick it off under the lights
The pressure is rising, strap in and hold tight
We're gonna blow the roof off this place tonight
C'mon and get ready
I mean really ready
Are you ready for some football?
A Monday night party
The whole house is rockin', let's get it kick started
Launch this thing, raise the roof, that's right
All my rowdy friends are here on Monday night
Thanks, and be friendly!
I'm ready also... So where's all the hype? I'm super excited here for another Freetail SMABRD.
no hype allowed
