    I was planning on going to darkness day but couldn't get off work in time to make the 8 hour drive. Maybe this could be a decent constellation prize. A night at lake Geneva would be sweet also. Haven't stayed there I'm a couple years. Do they normally pour anything good here. Or just the of the shelf stuff?

    This will be first time attending this, as I did do the smaller one in May in St. Charles Illinois, mostly off shelf but everyone there said the vendors are bigger and better ( and rare sightings) in the Lake Geneva one!

    Headed from Illinois burbs up Route 47 to Lake Geneva, Any recommendations on beer stores to hit for some New Glaruis and other non Chicago distributing crafts? Thanks in advance

    My guess would be in Lake Geneva since NG is only distributed in Wisconsin and Lake Geneva is so close to the border. However I have found that even little 7-11 type convience stores often carry New Glarus's common stuff like Fat Squirrel or Spotted Cow, so it might be worth stopping at a gas station. If I remember correctly there's a place around downtown called Geneva Liquors that carries some NG, possilby Capital, MKE, and some others

    The arminettis in Woodstock off of 47 has a solid selection of rare beers and the biggest selection of make your own six pack I have ever seen around.

    Though being in woodstock , IL probably nothing I cannot obtain at my local arminettis or binnys, such as new glaruis and others
