I think many brewers are aware of this trend because many of them that I know follow BA at least a little and are beer fans. Those that have traveled to Europe, and Belgium especially, have an appreciation for the importance of specialized glassware.

Also, it's really easy and cheap to make "limited edition" glassware as long as it is a fairly standard shape. All they need to do have a company screen or etch a logo on it. It's much easier that making beer, has high profit margins, isn't perishable, can be made outside the brewery, etc. The only caveat is that glassware takes up a lot of space and is fragile. But it's a great way to supplement your income if you can't or don't want to make more beer.

If anyone is going and does not want to buy their glass or allowed to buy extras, I'll take one!
Would love to get ahold of a bottle, so if there is one version you may let go, let me know.

Anyone in or near Brooklyn going, that has extra room in their car? My wife is visiting family this weekend and took the car, but I still wanna go. BM me and let me know. Will throw in for gas and tolls of course, and buy lunch.

Have the lines for latest releases gotten smaller or the bottle limits helping out? I got there just after open on the first release and struck out (along with a bunch of other people) and I know the line for the 2nd release was out to the post office well before opening. If it's gotten better, I might give them a shot next release.

Depends....do you trust that person who said you are able to get a bottle while showing up 30 minutes early?

I was at the second release, and people who lined up at opening time got the Nebula (but not the Prunus). At the most recent release, I heard it only sold out after clearing the initial line. But that was a single beer with a one bottle limit, so it probably didn't draw road-trippers the way this one might.

This. I would expect Only Void to draw similar to the Guillemot and HandFarm releases, especially since this one has been anticipated for quite a while. Still, there's no reason to go delirious and show up 4 hours early bc of the single bottle limit.

If anyone attending can pick up an extra snifter (or two!) I am looking to trade. Maybe for a KBS snifter? I have others, or beer possibly. I'd also love to trade for any of the bottles, bm me!

anywhere on Ardmore Ave. or on the street next to the post office (you can ignore any meters on sundays) / The parking lot across from TH has a couple non-permit spots / The one-way street across from Tired Hands (Athens Ave.) / The parking lot behind that one way street on Cricket Ave. / The parking lot on Greenfield Ave. parallel to Ardmore Ave. etc etc etc

less than half a block down on the left if the Ardmore ave spots are taken.

The streets on the left are two hour parking but it doesn't seem too strict.

This is the first time I wont be working during one of the bottle release days. I'm hoping I can get there in time to actually score a bottle though.

Couldn't stay for long but the wine barrel OV was delicious. Got our allocations and headed out at 12:45...still at least 60 people in line many of whom won't get anything...bottles, glasses, growlers and shirts were all selling very fast.

They need to change their release payment policy. It's pushing an hour and they haven't even sold 70 shares. These releases should be cash only.

I thought this release went really smooth. I know people stood in line for payment quite long, but once inside it was not nearly as packed as it was for the anniversary party. Bartenders were awesome, timely and attentive. Great job by Jean and his staff. Cheers!

Yeah it wasn't bad at all. The last release I went to, Blue Dog for Voodoo, took way longer. I was like 15th in line for that and I got out slower than this being 40th or so today.

    I got there at 11:15
    I got sunburn.
I did not get the Rye Whiskey Barrel version.
I got the final Stainless Steel version.
    I got my snifters.
    I am happy.

I was there at 10:30 and was able to get a full allotment, but it was pretty clear they were running low. I really hope there wasn't anyone behind you that got shut out completely after waiting in that line.
