Sending a friend to get some TH growlers for me on Friday. Any idea on pricing for them? Also, does the brewery generally have bottles for sale? Really hoping to score one of those snazzy snifter glasses as well! Cheers!

No bottles except on special releases. No idea on the Only Void glasses. They may have sold out or not be selling them anymore but I don't know. I believe the growlers themselves are both $5 and the fills range from like $15-$20 I think. Drink them sooner rather than later as they don't store super well.

You get 1L swingtops or 64 oz growlers. They will not fill other brewery's glass. Prices will vary dependent on which beer you are looking to fill. They are not inexpensive. Figure $15 (1L) - $30 (64 oz) a growler with their glass if you don't have glass to fill. The bottles are special release bottles so they don't have regular bottle offereings for sale. I assume the snifters sold through but they do have a long stemmed glass generally available for sale - $12 each two for $20 (or at least that is what it used to be).

They'll fill a non-Tired Hands growler so long as it is doesn't say the name of a another brewery on it. (just like every brewpub/brewery in PA does)

As of this morning they still have the Only Void snifters available ($12/each). Doubt they'll last until Friday though.

Thanks for the heads up on the glasses. Hard to imagine these lasted through yesterday. Sounds like they made more than originally planned.

I was at the brewery last night and they told us that they were sold out but this morning they posted that they had some left so maybe they found an extra case (of the snifters).

Troegs for one doesn't have an issue filling growlers from other breweries, although I can't speak for many others.

I think a lot of them do it because it would be "mislabeling"

It wouldn't surprise me if they misplaced a box or two. They were pulling them up from their basement which I imagine is pretty cluttered.

Ah, that makes sense. Troegs always puts a sticker on the growler to indicate what beer they filled, avoiding any potential mislabeling controversy.

Selin's Grove Brewery will also fill other brewery's growlers. They just write the name of the beer on the cap.

In general, the liquor laws are written incredibly poorly. This means that a brewery or pub may read it one way while the PLCB interprets it another and of course the brewpub gets dinged. Some places are just more paranoid than others.

Dock st also fills any growler. Quote from owner on Sun, "we love other breweries growlers, all about recycling"

FYI a growler of Only Void is $35 not including the glass. They usually announce on their Facebook page when something kicks, I'm guessing it's still on.

Sounds like a plan. Anyone who went recently know the current growler and wine glass stock situation?

No a wedding tomorrow in redding. The rehearsal dinner is tonight around 630 so I may be able to stop in at 4 if I'm out around 430ish. I've never been to pa before yeatersay so I don't really know my way around but I guess that's what GPS is for.

On a side note what theme park is close to topton?

Make sure you hit up Mari's for bottles while you're in the area for the wedding.

Yeah...there are a few million people within a reasonable drive of this place. There isn't the sense of urgency to go that there is when you've driven a few hundred miles from out of town and are only going to be there for a couple days. The releases are about the only time it resembles HF.

I went Thursday a little after 4 tried 6 out of 8 offerings all solid but nothing really stood out to me. Went with hop hands and farm hands because I knew I would be outside for the wedding and both tastes better than the day before? Also tried an open faces sandwich with their house bread which was excellent.
