these guys installed a six tap craft system last january or so, and have been doing everything in the world to try to support the craft industry. The most macro beer they offer is Yuengling, and they try to do a really wide selection of drafts + six packs.

I don't know the rules here super well, but if you're near the area, come get some beer at near cost on draft. The folks who run the draft system know their beer too, so they will be honest about whatever they're pouring/selling.

Just got one of the packs of Hoptimum they were able to secure :grinning:

I'll give a shout out to Tommy's as well (even though last time I was there, they also had bud lite on tap). In any event, when I was there they had hopslam on tap, and the price for a pint was the cheapest I've seen anywhere, bar none. I can't really call it a great place, if I'm going to be completely objective, but given the location (the beer desert otherwise known as Gettysburg), this place is flat out great. Any time I'm in Gettysburg, this is where I'd stop by to get good beer. Best of luck guys...

They ended up getting rid of Bud Light because sales were incredibly low (or so an owner tells me). Yuengling has replaced it as the constant tap.

I go to Gettysburg twice per year to meet up with some friends. Needless to say, the craft beer selection has always been lacking. I will certainly see what this place is about.

I will be in the area in August. Looking for places like bottle shops or places to eat that have craft beer on tap.

Good move. No matter what your craft beer rules are, if you are in PA, you'd better have Yuengling on tap. I wouldn't get one if they have some great offerings (Hopslam mentioned above), but there are few beers that go better with pizza IMO. Seems like a great place and I really like their devotion to serving great beer at a reasonable cost!

I love Tommy's Pizza. The owner Wade is a great guy who knows his shit, and trying his damnedest to bring craft beer to the area.

Yeah, Wade is a real solid guy, as is his whole family. Wish I had met them earlier in my stay here.

Thanks for all of the kind words guys. Any BAer that's been to Gettysburg knows that it's a craft beer wasteland, but I'm doing what I can to change that. Tommy's does have a 6 tap draft system, five of of the taps are rotating crafts with the other being Yuengling Lager. We are filling growlers as well but only swing tops for now as we do not have the screw top lids for the glass jugs. We do plan on listing what's currently on tap and in bottles on our website soon so anyone that may be in the area can check it out and stop by if something grabs your attention.

Tommy's has been family owned and operated in Gettsyburg for 39 years and there are three things that I will guarantee if you stop by; friendly service, good pizza and quality beer to go with it. Ask for me if you stop in, I'm more than willing to shoot the shit about good beer and anything else that comes to mind.

Wade. If I could make a suggestion... the only complaint I had the one time I stopped by was your set up for payment when purchasing a beer. With only counter service available, there seemed to be no way to set up a tab if one wanted to hang our for a while and enjoy several pints (with a couple of slices). If one is paying by credit card, it's a bit annoying to have to run the card each time one is ordering a beer. Also, I'm assuming you're getting popped with a POS charge by the credit card company each time you run the card as well. The result was that I felt a bit uncomfortable using my credit card at your restaurant (which I assume is not the intent), and so just used cash after my first couple of orders. Anyhow, if there is anyway to allow credit card customers run a tab without having to repeatedly have their card run, that would be a big plus I think.

    Best of luck otherwise...
