Top 2017 Brewery that opened in 2017 (LIST TOP 3)

I'll have to give Back Channel another chance. Awesome location, especially if you have a boat. I made a pitstop there in September and remember not being impressed with the beer.

 

The Beerists podcast (out of Austin, Texas) recently released an entire episode devoted to 12welve Eyes of St. Paul, which I consider the best brewery to open in Minnesota in 2017. Spoiler: They were very impressed by all of the 12welve Eyes beers they tried (Mighty Axe Single Hop: Zeus, Winter Brown Ale, Coconut Milk Stout, Mosaic Wheat IPA, and Legacy Chocolate Stout). Three of the four hosts gave all five beers their highest-level recommendation ("Buy"), and the fourth gave two a "Buy" and three the second-highest-level recommendation ("Try"). Regular listeners will recognize that they were unusually positive about these beers; most of the time they rip some of the beers they try apart. And no, I'm not the listener who sent them the crowlers. I hope this will encourage some of you who are sleeping on this brewery to give it a second (or first) chance.
