They have always dated their bottles. It's sometimes been a bitch to read but it's been there. But all that's in the past now that they're printing the bottling date on the label.

I love this thread, I'd take most of the beers mentioned over most hard-to-find limited release brews.

    My list:
    La Terrible
    G'knight
    Old Chub
    Odell IPA
    Upslope Brown

    Bells Two Hearted
OB Ten Fidy (same as a previous poster, been on the shelf since last October)
Unibroue La Fin Du Monde / Trois Pistoles
    Founders Porter / Centennial / Red's Rye
    Old Rasputin

All of these are absolutely outstanding for their respective styles and less than $3 a bottle, except for Ten Fidy which is $14 / 4 pack. In fact, seeing these on a list just made me wonder why I hunt whales sometimes.

Totally agree on #1. It's a ridiculously good sour beer for the price ($11/750ml out here in Seattle).

    Bell's Two Hearted Ale
    Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA
    Green Flash Rayon Vert
    Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter
    Sierra Nevada Torpedo

It varies so much over time. My old regulars would have included:
    Ommegang Three Philosophers
Tuppers' Hop Pocket Ale (all-time, sentimental favorite, esp. on the real ale tap in its Dominion days)
    Founders Red's Rye PA
    Smuttynose Robust Porter
    Dominion Oak Barrel Stout
On another day, Brooklyn's Sorachi Ace and Number 1 might make the cut. And I have to admit to a fondness for Yuengling Porter from my ramen-eating, student days.

I say "old" list because I just relocated from Virginia to Oregon. Now that I'm on the West Coast I have the not-too-terrible task of finding some locally available favorites, since most of my previous ones were regional East Coast brews. Either that or pay through the nose for shipping. This thread has given me some good ideas, so thanks!
