    Sure.
    • Around 80% of our active members (logged in) are from the U.S. versus 2.5% from Canada.
    • As the title indicates, and as I reinforce in the article, it's literally the most rated breweries on BeerAdvocate.
    • Collective Arts has a presences in the U.S., their unique marketing/focus on emerging artists keeps them interesting, and their beers are highly rated. I'm guessing most of those who rated their beers were from the U.S.

Their stuff makes it all the way out here to my small rural market. They must be making a fair amount
What does that have to do with this list?

Good point. I’m curious as to how A-B can qualify. Perhaps Todd can explain.

They're owned and brewed by Harpoon these days who make a lot more of their own brand than of Clown Shoes, so it just seems surprising that a brand within a much larger brand has the reach to make the top 50. Probably just a measure of the degree to which big flavored stouts attract reviews on the site, though you're right that they clearly make more than I realized.

Curious if you guys get Harpoon out there too?

Ya, that and the sheer volume.of different brands they pump out. I'm not a regular purchaser of clown shoes but I do notice different labels in the beer aisle all.the time.

I don't think so. I certainly haven't noticed it ever. Possibly at the big box beverage type stores

Side Project doesn't distro at all and stayed on the list despite no taproom service for 3/4 of the year.

That's a strange one. Curbside pick-up during the period of time they were closed? Everyone emptying their cellar?

They're still doing to-go. I think they are still doing membership releases too.

St. Louis also seems to accounts for most of the BA account activity for MO.

I think that they're a brewery where a very high percentage of the bottles that get cracked get rated on BA. Their beers seem to be among the most actively sought out bottles around

Couldnt agree more. At my local beer shop, its always a can for 6.99 or more. I never understood this. We get all the other Brooklyn breweries now, Grimm,Interboro, LIC and others and their 4 packs are never more than 20$. I love Singlecut but I don't get why their cans are so expensive.

Would've been Wicked Weed if any, but even their district footprint isn't as big as one might assume

What are the top 10 countries who use BA? I'm presuming it'll be a lot of European countries - would love to learn who else is here.

But on sheer volume of beers for reviews and distribution - I would think Burial. Didn’t they start shipping to many states during the pandemic?

Interesting IL has 5 breweries represented. Even more interesting that Half Acre which has been consistently good and has really gone to the next level on their IPAs, barrel aged program, and sours ipas as well as hosting an acclaimed tenant brewer in their space managed to fall out of the top 50. Even more interesting is that Hob Butcher and Phase Three have hyped their way in. I can understand P3, the trades people are doing for their ba stouts is head scratching, but I think Hop Butcher is fairly one dimensional, but good at it, and is doing a great job of riding scarcity to hype. They are to beer what Supreme was to clothing. Rate on, Illinoisans, rate on.

I don't think Heist gets the recognition it deserves...outside NC anyway. Constantly putting out stellar brews!
