Austin Beerworks Fire Eagle IPA
Flower Power and Kane Head High.
i'm not so sure i cld Narrow it dwn to 2..i've had Most of them (i'm a True IPA guy), Not all (--that's short of impossible, there's so many), including Fat Head (last yr's IPA winner) & Sculpin -- both are good..but Frankly i think a bit Over-rated -- -- there ARE bttr out there.
-Ithaca Flower Power
-both Sierra Nevada's.. Hoptimum & Torpedo
-both Victory's.. Hop Wallop & Hop Devil
-Dogfish Head makes sum Good ones too
-surprisingly, Sam Adams Whitewater is a bit Refreshing on a Hot Summer day, its a Wheat IPA..if u didn't know, u cldn't tell ( i generally HATE Most wheat beers, but That one is Damn good )
..i cld probly give a top 20 straight off the top of my head. Name TWO ?! -- simply just too damn difficult, depends on your mood really..they all taste different. AND opinions vary..not everything taste the same to evry1.
Surly Furious and Three Floyds Broo Doo
Furious can fuck off if we can call Zombie Dust an IPA
Bell's Two Hearted is a runner-up
Head Hunter and White Rajah.
Head Hunter Ipa
honorable mention -
Green Flash & West 6th.
DFH 60 Minute and Sculpin. Honorable mention: RR Blind Pig.
So hard to narrow down: white rajah and Schlafly tasmanian
Honorable mention: duet, sculpin, blind pig, flower power, lunch
I didn't do a good job of narrowing that down.
Putting only 2 at the top is tough. So many good breweries nailing this style. But I'll go with local...
Columbus Brewing IPA
Fat Head's Head Hunter
Out of state - Odell and Union Jack.
Black Raven Trickster
Honourable mention: Thornbridge Jaipur (if on a well handled cask in the UK)
I cant pick 2, but I can pick 4. Head Hunter, Columbus Brewing Co. IPA, Two-Hearted, and 3Floyds Broo Doo.
Flower Power and Sculpin
HF Susan is outstanding, and I couldn't only pick two if I had to, there's at least 6 or so really serious IPA's out there.
Green flash WC
Flower Power and Surly Wet
# 1 is easy, Alpine Nelson.
# 2 not so easy, but let's go with Green Flash WC IPA
Honorable mention to Flower Power, Stone and Head Hunter and Founders Harvest Ale
at this point in time,
1. troeg's perpetual ipa
2. schlafly tasmanian ipa
Maine Beer Lunch
SN Celebration Ale
Red Racer 5
DISCLAIMER: I have not yet had Heady Topper or Pliny but those are double IPAs.
Lunch, head hunter, Columbus, jai alai, daisy cutter, furious
Maine Beer Company Lunch IPA
It's been a long time since I had them, but until I try them again and decide otherwise, it's Alpine Nelson and Duet.
1. Odell's IPA
2. Bell's Two Hearted or Brew kettle's White Rajah. Only had both these these once or twice so I could use a few more tries of each to make my final determination.
Lots I haven't had.
Flower Power & Sculpin
Prohibition Big Daddy
Blind Pig, Hopnotch and Racer 5 are pretty swell too.
Two Hearted and Nelson
Odell IPA and Surly Furious
Ska Modus Hoperandi
Union Jack and Finest Kind.
I'd include Hoponious Union also, but its a lager.
Founders Harvest Ale
flower power, sierra celebration
This is ever changing for me but as of today I would say...
Bells Two Hearted and Lakefront IPA, when Ale Asylum Bedlam and Ballistic are in season I drink them like water.... Bedlam should be year round!
Celebration, Two Hearted.
3HB The Kind
Tough to choose 2 though. These are my defaults i guess.
Sierra Nevada Celebration and Racer 5. Kind of hard to pick a top 2...so many good ones. Sculpin would be but I don't have access to it regularly to really know.
Anchorage Brewing Frequency (non-bret)
Lunch and Sculpin, Alesmith IPA a close third.
