Sierra Nevada Torpedo and Victory Hop Devil
This sounds like a trick question.
The three Ohio IPA's are hard to beat. Columbus IPA, Head Hunter and White Rajah. Then again, super fresh draft Perpetual IPA is outstanding.
Societe The Pupil
1. Two Hearted
2. Blind Pig
3a. Finest Kind
3b. Union Jack
2. Union Jack
Right now Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye and Firestone Union Jack, honorable mentions:
- Bell's Two Hearted
- Founders Centennial
- Lagunitas Sucks
- Sierra Nevada Celebration
- Bear Republic Racer Five
La Cumbre Elevated IPA and Bear Republic Racer 5
Bells Two Hearted Ale, Union Jack IPA.
Aren't Pliny and Heady doubles?
But I'd have to go with blind pig, and flower power
Flower Power and Sculpin
Black Raven- Trickster IPA
Old School House- Ruud Awakening
Sculpin & Head Hunter.
Honorable mentions go to..... Flower Power, 2 Hearted, Founders Harvest, Columbus IPA, Smutty, Zombie Dust, Lavery Dulachan.
Flower Power & Surly Wet
Nelson and Citra Ninja.
single IPAs, man. Both of those are DIPAs.
Harpoon. Because I was drinking it during the 05 and 09 unc national championships. And stone. Because its the best single for the $$.
1. Fuzzy Baby Ducks
2. The Kernel Suke Quto Coffee IPA
For less obscure, year-round offerings, I'm partial to Furious and Odell's.
Three Floyds Dreadnaught. Current number two, the brew kettle white rajah.
Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA and Three Floyds Zombie Dust. If Zombie Dust is cheating, Ale Asylum Bedlam. If a Belgian IPA is cheating, Surly Wet. If a wet-hopped IPA is cheating, Odell IPA.
Stone and Two Hearted.
La Cumbre Elevated
DFH 60min would be number 2 if it were available here
KR Just outstanding
Titan and Celebration.
both terrific beers
Great choices if this thread was about IIPA's.
And it's Pliny...
1) Maine Beer Co. Lunch
2) Blind Pig
Zombie Dust and White Rajah hands down! I might be a girl, but I'm a hophead!
1. Blind Pig
2. Speakeasy Big Daddy
This is my answer exactly.
it is difficult to have a top two but I would definitely have to put
the Elevated IPA from la cumbre up there and always like Hollister Brewing Pope IPA
definitely have to mention Kern river Just outstanding and flower power
guess that a few more than two lol as for single ipa's but there are a lot of good dipa's
So anyone gonna go through all the posts and tally up the "winner"?
Fat Head's Head Hunter and Bell's Two Hearted
Kernel Citra is the Best IPA I have ever tasted. Heavy Sea's Loose Cannon is another favorite of mine.
Flower Power & Two Hearted.
Honorable mentions to Troeg's Perpetual and Victory HopDevil.
