And yes, I left Heady off the list intentionally. I found it good, but not outstanding. Still got one left in the fridge with better IPAs slotted ahead of it.

Bell's Two-Hearted has a special place in my heart. My first "real" beer. As a poor college student drinking busch-light out of a plastic solo cup I took a sip of good ol' 2<3 and my life changed. Now every sip of this sacred ale brings me back to that moment of uncertainty, curiosity, and eventual love (in that order) of the magnificent hop and the many craft brews that shortly followed.

I'll make it simple. Too many to name and not enough time to type. Nuff said.

I love Pliny the Elder and really liked Green Flash's West Coast IPA, but those I haven't had enough to comment on.

    My standbys:
    1. Saint Arnold Elissa IPA: Maybe it's just nostalgia, but when I was living in Houston I loved this stuff. A good old-school IPA.

    2. Bell's Two Hearted: A go-to beer for me to get at bars when I was in Florida for Navy training. So damn good.

    3. I don't know what it is, but I really have a thing for Belgian IPAs- I pretty much love every one that I've had.

Stone IPA is my favorite. Followed by Chaman from Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel and Final Frontier by To ├śl. I need to try Pliny offerings if I ever find them.

But I'd like to offer a surprising suggestion--Harpoon IPA. It's not in my top IPAs but it is a very easy to drink beer that will always please me.

    Single:

Odell's IPA is my staple. Bell's Two Hearted would be too if only I had access to it and been able to have it more than only once.

    Double:
    Firestone Walker's Double Jack
    Dry Dock's Seven Season IIPA
    Russian Rivers Pliny The Elder
Breckenridge's 471 (sounds like I have been lucky with my experiences and always gotten good batches).
