Relatively new to the craft brew, or more so to branching out into trying new/more expensive stuff so my list won't be terrible interesting most likely. Also going to mix DIPA's and IPA's. Anyways..I had the pleasure of living in NorCal for a time, though sadly I no longer live there. That said, my number one will start off with my favorite beer on the planet...

    1. Pliny the Elder (I'd kill to get my hands on it again)
    2. Double Jack
    3. Ruination
    4. Raj IPA (it was my first IPA to my knowledge and will always have spot in my heart)
    5. Racer 5

Was only going to do 5, but....I gotta get Seirra Nevada on the list. So

    #6 Torpedo

    Sierra Nevada Hoptimum
Lagunitas Hop Stoopid (best DIPA bomber value ever!)
    Oskar Blues Deviant Dales
Clown Shoes Eagle Claw Fist (which they call an imperial red but but it belongs here on MY list)

It depends on my mood/what I am doing.

For a regular session IPA it doesn't get any better than Smutty IPA. Relatively cheap available very quaffable.

Double Sunshine is insanely good as an occational treat. Same with Heady Topper. Sean Hill knows what he is doing with hops too. Most of his IPA's DIPA's are dank as hell.

I like Blind Pig a lot too. Better than Pliny to be honest.

The Kernel brewery out of London makes killer IPA's. Lot's of different one off beers with different hops. Seriously under the radar brewery on this side of the pond.

You asked for favorite IPA's an your list is about all DIPA's.

IPA's = Flower Power, Furious, Duet, Two Hearted Ale. Putting in ZD here whether they call it an APA or not. Blind Pig. In no particular order except Two Hearted which pulls up the rear on the list.

DIPA's = HT, Pliny, Kern Citra

IPA is my favorite beer style, and there are so many that I enjoy that it is hard to specify here.

But I do like to keep a sixer of either Two Hearted or Stone IPA in the fridge at all times. This satisfies my hop craving and also provides two excellent gateway crafts to offer to my BMC drinking neighbors.

I'll also try to have some local variety that is not readily available here in Western Kentucky to satisfy my sense of adventure. Currently, I have a six pack of Westbrook IPA from South Carolina which is VERY tasty.

Next up, Fat Head Head Hunter IPA from Ohio.
