Top Rated Beers by Country

Hey,

So just there I received an email talking about how BA is (obviously) very US-centric and how people like myself should try their best to promote beer from their own country and take steps to make BA a little less US-centric. Now I amn’t particularly bothered by the US dominating this website, I still think BA is objectively the best beer reviewing website. Irrespective of where you’re from, there’s no better source of information or opinion about beer anywhere else on the net, even if most of that info is about US beer.

But there’s always been one thing, albeit very minor, that’s irked me in particular. In the “Top Rated” section of the site, you can see the highest ranked beers in their respective styles, or in the world, or out of old beers etc. But to get to best beers by nation, instead of pressing a button saying “Beers by Country” you press “United States” and then you can re-select the nation you want to look at.

Now look, I understand this is very petty, but it really does make you feel like the other countries are an afterthought. I feel like altering this to “Beers by Country” rather than forcing you to look at the US would be a good first step into making this website just a little less US-centric.

I know this happened a few weeks back now, but thank you @Todd for changing the ‘United States’ banner thing, as well as adding the ability to see the best beers from every sovereign state on the planet, pretty fun to see all those beers from around the world.
