I've enjoyed the 1-5-16 cans of Sue quite a bit more than any other FL batch but it's all besides the point since since Sue is probably the 4th or 5th best lower ABV hoppy beer TG does.

    Pompeii and Zeelander for life!

Have I mentioned TG Gold? :sunglasses:

No doubt. I feel like Pompeii is underrated by everyone. I wish I could get THAT in a can. :grinning:

That last run of Pompeii was outstanding. Loved every drop of it.

I'm wondering if the recent Florida Sue is a new crop of Citra, because as you pointed out, recent Decorah Sue is fucking ridiculous.

Almost everyone. I probably have 5+ posts around here calling it the best beer around, anywhere, in the past year. I fucking love Pompeii. It's definitely my favorite TG beer.

Has anyone heard about any new fun beers TG is got fermenting away? I remember Mike saying he was going to have some new australian hopped beers "soon," but we all know how time can fluctuate when you are trying to start back up draft accounts and go to RateBeerFest ect, just curious. I love lightspeed, but I miss Zeelander / am excited to maybe have Twisted Galaxy or Intergalactic Warrior back.

    Thanks all!

I would wager a bet that most everyone would say (and have said) the same thing. Nobody here is really arguing that FL Sue is bad or not better than any other APA on shelves. Just that there is a clear difference between it and Decorah Sue. Alright....I'm done. This horse has been flogged to death 10 times already.

Hops are grown in many different locations/fields by different hop farmers. Each batch of hops from different farms can be slightly different in smell and taste due to growing conditions such as weather. Breweries get hops produced from several farms so you may taste differences between hop batches but it's difficult to say a hop year is better than another hop year (unless there is a draught).

    Oh bummer. Thanks for clarifying.

Looks like they will be bottling a fresh batch of Pompeii next week and brewing King Sue tomorrow.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes King Sue to go from brewed to bottled? I need to clear some days for the pilgrimage!

Not sure what your schedule looks like, but for my money the fresh Pompeii is more trip worthy than King Sue. But I'm a notorious King Sue non-worshipper.

haven't had the pleasure of King Sue yet, but Pompeii, Pompeii is incredible. how long will it take bottles to hit Des Moines?

Depends if it gets bottled early or late in the week and whether they send Bombers to Des Moines, but most likely not next week but the following through JBros.
