Just had Sue on tap for the first time in what felt like a couple years, absolutely delicious and as I remember it from the the last kegs and bombers. Glad to see they are sending kegs out again.

 

This for sure?

 

King is King. Up to par. Those who are big fans should be very pleased.

 

I'm not even a big fan but this is an excellent batch

 

108 cases left according to Jes. It's not very busy. Downright slow considering it's 5pm on a Friday with KS bottles and draft flowing.

 

Sue is on point too

 

It's still on at EBS and popping up elsewhere in the metro, I-35 Spirits just tapped a keg and is doing $10 32oz fills of both Sue and Todd. I think (limited) draft availability is back for good.

Going to have the blind Citra challenge in my own home tonight…Passé/Todd/Sue.

 

Got a case of the King, fantastic stuff. Very surprised to see them still selling November GN at the taproom though. They must not have done the distro right for that one, because I would have been happy to buy it 3 months ago if we had had it around in central Iowa.

 

Any reports on the 2/10 sue cans?

 

Ah I was reading this as King Sue kegs. my bad.

 

Did a blind sample of that and the 1/29. I found the 2/10 to have more of that sour diesel/onion strain, which I prefer. 1/29 had a touch of orange marmalade and malt character. Both were just lightly hazy, but freshly delivered and quite cold. A 50/50 split on the people that tried it, definitely a nice batch this go around either way with pretty minor differences.

King Sue bottles are officially gone.

 

Am I the only one getting zero aroma out of KS? I expected to be punched in the face with tropical fruitiness when I opened it (like with Hopsmack) but I'm getting nothing on the nose. The taste is also very subdued; while I've never had KS, this really just tastes like a faded DIPA to me. Either I got an off bottle or someone screwed me with an old bottle in a trade (which seems unlikely since, while part of the date has rubbed off, I can at least see it starts with 02). Just curious if anyone else has experienced anything other than greatness with this batch.
