All batches of due have variations. The last batch was one of my favorites though.

By last batch do you mean the current batch or the batch from mid-February?

Also, I'm well aware of the variations between TG batches. I was just saying, for my money this batch of Sue isn't the same quality as the last batch. I'm not here to start a wild and crazy speculation thread. I'll leave that to you Iowans

I meant the February batch, it was crazy good. If not the best batch of Sue I've had it was in the top 2 for sure.

Just had a bomber of the current batch of Sue and it's tasting better than ever. Super juicy, glorious citra hops, smooth as Evah!

Nose and flavors are on point but I'd agree the carb and mouthfeel are slightly off. Nothing to be alarmed about. I think all three of the TG beers they shipped are solid.

I tried a new Nug last night and it was decent. Some light grapefruit flavors and a bitter finish. Decent aroma. Much better than the case I bought in early Feb. That batch was very earthy and no real aroma or bitterness to speak of. I still have some of that left (maybe 6-8 bottles) and I will probably never drink at this point. Nug must drop off fast, or there is a substantial amount of variation between batches. I got the same impression from Tsunami that came out in Feb, very earthy and not a strong hop aroma. It was an OK beer on its own but I was expecting more.

Was the Sue on tap at TG 3/10 the same as what's in the current bottles?

I haven't tried the current Sue to compare with the one in February yet, but should this weekend. the February batch of Sue was excellent. Like stated, i thought the batch of Nugget from February lack hop aroma and bitterness as well. I also had a bottle of Tsunami and found it to be very earthy as well. I didn't even buy a bottle of nugget to compare to this time because of how much i was disappointed in it in February. I will also be cracking a Pompeii this weekend.

Anyone know why the bottles weren't date coded? I thought they had just got a new machine but at least on my bottle of Pompeii, there was no date.

Mine had a date of 3/20/15 on them. I did notice with the last batch of Sue bombers that the dates rubbed off pretty easily, so maybe that's what happened?

The date code on my bottles is in black ink, so it's hard to see unless you hold it under a bright light.

As far as Pompeii goes I was blown away. They did a great job on this one and I hope it stays in their rotation.

Ah hah I see it now. Was looking for the yellow ink they used this first time. You know, the one easier to read. Thanks!

Drank a Golden Nugget and a Pompeii tonight. I thought they were both fantastic.

Finishing a Pompeii now. Not bad. First time I've had it so I don't have a frame of reference for how previous batches tasted. Like someone said about previous batches, I am picking up blueberries in the aroma. The taste is peculiar. Fruity but not really citrusy. I can't quite put my finger on what it tastes like. It is good though. At least it doesn't have that earthy flavor. A little thin in the body, kind of like the Nugget I had yesterday. If there was just a tad more mouthfeel, the drinkability of this would be amazing. Still, all in all, a solid beer.
