Still love TG? You're a hopeless homer or label-lover.

Think TG has lost a step? You're tasting Mike leaving, not the actual beer.

    I love all of you.

They were bottling another run of Sue at TG this morning to be sent out to distro, so I assume your chances would be pretty decent to find some in Madison on Friday (depending on when it gets delivered and how much).

Does anyone know if Sue is coming to DSM area, again?

i thought the latest two batches of sue... mike and post mike were hazy and delicious, reminding me of the awesome new england bodied ipa's. the filtered sue last year at times i thought was never as good. this stuff now is on point, and this is while i am enjoying a fresh zombie dust. i can't speak for the barrel aged stuff. we'll have to see on that.

Had some of the most recent batch of Sue last night. Nose and initial flavors were on point. Very juicy, but the mouthfeel was off some, as well as the after taste. Still very good, but not different.

Bottom line, the first batch of post-Mike Sue was still an excellent beer, but they have some work to do.

Sue has never been filtered before.

He actually has said multiple times he's bringing MD to the beer fest in Madison in August. Now, I don't believe a damn word he tweets, but he has said that.

    I can't even.

You can't believe someone would prefer one beer over another beer?

Put them both into a glass next to each other and see which you like. Maybe Assassin has lost something, the aroma wasn't nearly as big and complex as SR71, but then again SR did just come out of barrels.

Agreed, taste is 100% subjective. I'm sure all of us prefer some beers over higher rated ones.

No, that's fine- drink what you dig. Everyone has different tastebuds. I actually liked Sr 71 just as much.

But the fact was that SR 71 absolutely started off as Assassin that wasn't up to Mike's standards. Obviously, it morphed into something really good months later, but the first part can't be disputed. It's the truth.

there were times where it was definitely more transparent and less orange and hazy. i guess i just thought that since they tinkered with it quite a bit.

Unless Clark or Mike comes out and states as much then it's internet speculation. Whether you like it or not.

It's not a matter of believing. I don't consider that credible. Unless they come here and tell us, or say something more official, it is hearsay. It is not a fact because it is not yet verifiable. If that same statement becomes verifiable, it becomes a fact.

Sure would be. But I wouldn't come on here and assert that it's a fact. Because it's not verifiable. I would know it, but that doesn't matter. Not to mention just asserting its a fact with nothing to back it up makes one look foolish and kind of douchey. Nothing has been confirmed as the description of the beer states. Still hearsay. Sorry. That's how facts vs. speculation work.

Edit: not trying to be a dick. I just am pointing out the difference.

You seem to be one of the only ones that understands that. If Mike told @Ivan_drago that SR71 is unused Assassin then I'm not sure why he can't come out and say that. Not like it will cost Mike his job, lol. If Mike didn't tell him that then he's creating internet rumors without a source. It's either one or the other.

Why does it matter? Explain to me why it is important to know the source of this beer? Do you understand the twisted roads of ideas and products? These things trip, change, alter, forget, and come out the other side as something often unintended.

Did you know Paul was the walrus and Judas Priest put subliminal suicidal messages in their music. That Gene Simmons has a cow tongue and Elvis is still alive.

I really do understand both sides, you having a problem with him saying it's a fact and him saying it's a fact if he has insider info without perfect sources. Personally, I don't need to see someone say something to believe it as this isn't the press. I'm fine with hearing various people's takes and making my own determination of what I believe the truth to be. And quite frankly, I would believe "hearsay" on the internet over anything that I heard Clark say, but that is just from my experience.

Regardless, I couldn't care less what SR71 is as long as it tastes good when I drink it.
