Wow, that's a huge difference! I wonder if they are still working out their brewing (and filtering process more specifically) at their new location. I recently had Fire Skulls & Money which was brewed at their new location and when I poured out the end of the bottle, it looked like there was even more sediment than what you are showing at the bottom of your glass.

Wasn't Teal the one that nobody really cared for?

I drank about a case of the first one. Enjoyed every single one.

Just awful hearing about that recent batch. I know they said they’re continuing to tweek it, and I have no clue why. Guess they like to fix things that aren’t broken. Stupid.

Mostly. I definitely fell in that camp. It wasn't that it was bad, it was relatively flavorless compared other TG brews I'd drank. Boring might be a better word.

I thought it was fine, better than most beers, but not as good as other TG offerings. It's flavor was more floral than a piney or juicy beer.

Feel like this is a dumb question but is PseudoSue in stores (in the boxes) now different from the PseudoSue that comes with the plastic tops?

Yes. Pseudo without the box was brewed in FL. The one in the box says brewed in Decorah. Decorah Sue = good, Florida Sue = bad.

It's basically Pseudo Sue vs Pseudo Shoe....go with the flavor profile your prefer...

Have had two four packs of the newly boxed Pseudo Sue. Was told it was a mid-December release and the beer tasted quite fresh and pretty damn good after all those ratty ass cans from Florida which I tried once and never again.

Somewhere it was posted that they we're having problems with the machine that applies the date to the packaging. Personally I would buy no more Pseudo Sue until they get that fixed, no damn way am I trusting them or a shipping schedule that they put out after that piss poor roll-out in the spring. Also wouldn't put it past the distributors to bulk up on a sale price and then try and continually release that same beer from mid-December for months to come.

On a side note I tried the Sue-Mo and I believe it was two weeks old and thought that beer was quite delicious. King sue on the other hand never impressed me enough when I got to try it at bottle shares to consider spending 10 plus dollars on a bomber.

With all the quality fresh local Brews available I would suggest TG get to working on that date stamp otherwise there's really no reason for me to pick it up off the shelf.

i know there is no way to make this wager at this point, but i HIGHLY doubt the beer was oxidized. Every can has floaters. the haze from the first batch has fallen out to the bottom of the cans. If you keep them upright and pour really really carefully, the beer actually has decent clarity at this point. im around beer nerds all day every day and this is the only report of oxidation ive come across

Ya - I was in a red rage when I posted that. Completely let down by the can I opened compared to the cans we got before Xmas. I think I actually preferred the FL sue over the can I opened when I posted that.

That being said, I wasn’t connecting the floaters with the oxidized characteristics. The beer was darker than usual with a strong maltiness to it. Almost no hops or aroma. It was a two-sip drain poor. I still have the other 3 cans... so we’ll see

Grabbed a Decorah 4 pack straight off a Binnys employees hand truck today and there is NO HAZE. However it is still delicious. They really got this dialed in. But that NE style aesthetic is gone.

Well if there's no haze anymore then there really no reason to buy it anymore ...

Slightly disappointed that they waited until after the winter holidays to “Decorah-ate the halls?”
