So can anyone tell me when they last bottled MoZee? My Binny's got a shelf full in today, but not a date stamp on any bottle. I poked around, couldn't find anything on their pages real quick, so passed. Looked super hazy FWIW.

EDIT - Haven't had it before, so would be interested in experiences on this one too.

I grabbed a bottle from Binny's today and it had a bottling date of 1/15/18.

Thanks. I checked like 6 of them, then gave up. I felt weird enough already. Was it the usual crappy, faded yellow date stamp just above where the neck meets the bottle?

We are talking about TG right? Of course it is! Right at the bend, so it gets distorted and you can't really read like 4 of the numbers. I pieced it together by looking at 3 or 4 other bottles, haha. And when I saw it was 2 days old, I double-checked and luckily the beer guys know me so I wasn't escorted off the premises.

That's usually how I do it too. I couldn't see anything on these bottles. There was a brief fleeting moment where I had hoped they were putting the date on the labels and I missed it. If they can get bottles to us in 2 days (RIP Oregon Trail), they really need to up their date stamping ability. Seriously.

Look forward to hearing how this beer is...

With the Oregon Trail being non-existent, I have to wonder what type of animal and/or
Human sacrifices are occurring for TG to arrive in Chicago 2 days old.

A couple weeks ago, in the TG marketing department:

“Guys! GUYS! We can’t get beer to market in under two months. We just can’t. But I seem to have found a way to change the date stamper to add “2” to the month column! I’ve bought us until November to get this figured out!”

It's funny. My first thought was actually "So, assassin Lottery is being put up soon, and will be released in a couple months...What a great way to hype TG as a whole than, you know...provide IPAs as fresh as they can?" Killer marketing strategy.

Edit: I'm not saying one absolutely caused the other to hype Assassin. What I am saying is that with the new location finally being operational, and part of that celebration being Assassin...I'm sure they realized that they should probably try to get IPAs out fresh too.

I feel like this is something a person should not Google at work...or maybe ever.

I'm being totally cereal here though, I don't give a shit what archaic method of travel or god(s) appeasement they are using to accomplish 2 day distro to us. Keep it up boys.

And for inquiring minds GN has a date stamp on the top of the box but not on the individual cans just yet

I could live with that. Not ideal for trading but still good enough for personal consumption

TG=personal consumption in this household. Except for the special releases, those are always shared!!

MoZee hit The Open Bottle. Are we seeing it at suburban Binny’s today?

MoZee is pretty f-ing great. Don't like the price point for the abv. But I'm usually willing to splurge on Nelson hops

Agreed. Had mine last night. Haven't had a lot of Nelson hopped stuff. It was a very nice beer. I could get used to this less than a week old TG thing for sure.
