Trade value of vintage Beat?

What kind of "whales" you want to land? "Whales" right now is a really broad category, people think King Henry is a whale, Rare is whale....so it's hard to give out a specific answer.

You can trade Beat 2-4 for comparable sours like Veritas, DDG, Cable Car, Twisted Spoke...

 

Rare = 3
Isabelle = 4/5
DDG = 3
discontinued Cantiloons = 3-6

Rare and DDG would likely trade 1:1 with the B2-4 bottles. In fact, 2 Rare for 1 Beat.+ could get done.

Isabelle might take a little more than 1 bottle, but not something too big. 2 Beat. would likely be an easy trade

Retired Loons are a different story since they range from Crianza to Soleil/Loerik in rarity (rare to ultra rare). A Crianza might be 1:1, I know several of people with multiples. Brabantiae, Zwanze 2008, 50N4E, and Nomad might require the whole vertical. Don Quixote, Loerik, LH12, Soleil, Pikkulin, Reed, etc might be possible with an International trade, but very unlikely

I agree. Somehow, international community don't regard Beatification that high. It's hard to blame them when they grow up with Cantillon. When Vinnie went to Akkurat, bartender there recommended him to stop making sours since they don't find them appealing. Luckily, Vinnie doesn't listen to them

 

Yeah I thought this too, but for some people that might have a couple bottles of Don Quixote and would like to try something else.

 

based on what i'm reading here, i'm shocked that people think rare is 1:1 with ddg.
i want another ddg... lets see how many bites i get for rare.

 

What would it take to land a Beatification Batch 1 or PH1?

 

Multiple rare loons (rare being crianza helena type beers) or maybe one ultra-rare loon

 

So no AWA like Izzy, DDG, or Veritas? Im thinkin about trying to land one, but dont want to clean out my cellar doing so..

 

I doubt that. I'm trying not to trade right now, or I'd put a Beatification out there and test out your theory.

 

What would it take to get a Beatification 003 (750ml)? Would a combo of Beatification 004 and 01/10/12 feasibly be able to get this done? I've put out that ISO before with no responses, so I'm kind of interested in what it would take to get a batch 003, or what other beers would be needed to land that one.

 

I read it as him asking if it could land Rare AND/OR Discontinued Cantilon. I didn't think it had anything to do with Bourbon County.

 

It wouldn't surprise me for a vert whore to swap a b3 for a b4+b5. Personally I would probably wait until I've had a b5 or two before I commit one of my older 750s but it seems fair to me.

 

I see B4 becoming more "valuable" in the future, if only for the fact it was a 250-300 bottle release.
I traded a BA Brandy DL for a B3 and a Temptation B4 750. Both sides were happy.

 

It varies batch-to-batch, but outside of PH1 (which I recently traded a splinter gold for), there isn't much of a ticker's draw to the older batches and it is very clear they will continue to produce and release it (unlike one-offs like many of the cantillons others have mentioned). I think much of the hype on this one is created by those with bottles and I think it would be silly to trade loreik/helena/blauw/roos etc for it.

 

Evidently beat 3 goes for half of a veritas 009...
