There have obviously been a ton of ISO/FT posts including Cherry Rye. From my own experience and from what I've seen, it doesn't seem like the majority of them have been completed. What have people traded-away or received for a Cherry Rye?

My RS trustee traded an Adam from the Wood straight up for a Cherry Rye with a mutual friend.

Considering how the forums have been as of recent, trades are going to go 2 ways. People will either seek whales for it (FT: Cherry Rye ISO: Wooden Hell x2) and those who go for quantity (ISO: Cherry Rye FT: FBS x47).

I've struck out with BA Speedway, Black Tuesday, and others that included various Alpine adds. I gave up on it.

Wow. That's incredible. I thought I'd be able to trade 1 BT for a Cherry and a Coffee adding a little on my end to even up $4$. I thought Cherry would be as easy or easier to obtain than Bramble was last year.

I sent a great Portland trader a Cherry Rye, Bolt Cutter, BCBS '12 and a few other things for an Upright Sole Comp - Pinot Barrel Aged Four w/ yarrow and brett (Jaune Quatre*), Block15 Golden Canary, and '12 Abyss.

*girlfriend fell in love with this one at the HotD dock release and insisted that we get another bottle, it's a completely different beer than the one currently listed on BA

I sent a bunch of BaSS out in advance, pre-traded for 1 Cherry 1 Coffee. Found out fast that wasn't going to happen.

I wish cherry was as plentiful as bramble was last year. I happen to like the cherry a great deal more and would love to slam down a couple bottles, Edward Cherry-rye Hands style.

The first one was aged in gin barrels and was titty sprinkles.

Cherry Rye might be my favorite variant of the bunch. It is a hotly contested race between that and vanilla (behind Rare of course).

If I knew any place in Indiana to get it. I'd be at that place now.

I had 2 extra and completed two 1:1 deals in person in Chicago, for a King Henry and a CBS.

I am getting a Cherry Rye 1:1 for my BB HiFi Rye. Both traders were happy!

That's just ridiculous. Especially BA Speedway... A top 50 beer, one of the best BA stouts in the world, and only made every other year in tiny numbers...

The Cherry Rye reviews aren't even looking that good across both sites.

How in the world is that possible?

No idea. Poor me, I'll just have to drink them :( /sarcasm!

The BaSS didn't trade well - couldn't land KH, BCBVS, or Cherry. Tried to trade 2 of them + Alpine adds for a Rare - not a reply nor BM on any of these trades.

Not shocked on KH or Rare. Figured it would score vanilla. Really shocked it can't get Cherry. I'd keep at it for Cherry once it drops in more spots. It hasn't hit a lot of areas yet. Somebody somewhere is going to end up with a case of it and will jump at a BA Speedway.

B2. I did not put up an FT for BB HiFi. I put up an ISO that was searching for a bunch of beer, and my cellar link for trade. He contacted me with the offer of Cherry Rye for my BB HiFi. Hope that helps.

How many states has this actually hit at this point? I'd guess that a lot of the allocation is still on trucks somewhere.

real talk: after all his talk about it, I planned to send it to him no matter what.

IRL outside of desperate friends I would not do that trade.

Really? Seemed fairly even to me, but I don't really follow AftW trade value very closely.

Not necessarily saying it isn't a "fair" trade. Just that I hate trading and I can't imagine many beers, especially that one being better tasting then AFtW. Did I mention I hate trading? lulz

Interesting. I'd take Cherry Rye all day erry day over AftW, personally. I know you hate stouts tho.

Funny you should say this, a couple weeks ago I opened my first AftW and then about 30 minutes later had a BA4D... I agree with you 100%.

I recently saw one and a BCBCS '12 go for HGH, sleeping pills, and a prescription of Viagra. Strange but true story.
