Aka King Tornado? Very Kkkinggg Hhhuricaneee?
Per the description: "This one will evolve beautifully in the can with time and reveal layers of additional complexity through cold conditioning". Apparently, the "Keep Cold" portion of the creed remains. But not "Drink Fresh" and Do Not Age"?
My overall experience is their beers tend to peak b/n 1-2 weeks after can date. There may be a touch of fall off for some beers but it virtually eliminates the sharp, green mild burn that some have in the first week.
Not sure what "earthy citrus" means. I consider earthy and citrus two very distinct hop profiles.
It is marketed as a ramped up Super Typhoon, FWIW.
I heard Seven had a ton of hop burn. I only got this from Super Typhoon and Promises to Keep. Every other beer of theirs I enjoy much more within the first week or two than after.
Still waiting for bombogenesis.
Huge line already. 30 min before open. I swear if VH drops...
3 hour wait incoming.
Looks like a very ggggreeeen drop. 4pp
Gggreennn was already Green in Milkshake form. How could they hop it even more??
i dont know but the twitter guy above has his work cut out for him. whatever came out today and super treats.
Feeling a little extra tight in the shorts are ya?
Any chance the VGgg allotment stays at 4pp for Saturday?
Somebody check my math - 75% of today’s cans/bottles are over 8% ABV. Makes my internal organs ache.
Erection just blew his load
anyone crack one yet?
Close. Reports are 2hrs and 15 minutes. hard pass. Pool deck and fridge stock with Hill Farmstead growlers sounds sooooo much better.
End of walkway now which about 1:15 minutes with no pours going and full staff out back.
As long as they hold off for pours i'll try to make it there tonight.
Tomorrow will probably not be any better so may as well go tonight and get max allotments.
There will be no pours today. Unless by some miracle the after work crowd decides to skip.
If they were giving away duffle bags with $2000 in cash I would not spend my Friday after work waiting in that line.
Yes you would. Would be pretty silly not to, actually.
Yeah but are those growlers filled with Aaabnerrr and Very Edward? I don't think so.
I'd do it.
I think that's specifically why the pool deck and the Hill Farmstead is better.
I wouldnt. I was thinking about the number that it would take for to me drive an hour there and back and wait in line for 2 plus hours after work. I think it would have to be over that.
You'd be earning around $500 an hour to go to Tree House. Sign me up
Driving a few hours and waiting 2 hours is like 5 hours spent. That's $400/hr. Unless you're making a million dollars per year, you'd be stupid not to take that deal.
It'd even be worth it for Ohio guy! $111/hr at 18 hours minus 2.5 tanks of gas, plus excuse to hit up plenty of new joints in the area.
This is a case study in craft beer
More does not equal better
Props to the TH crew, love it. Amazing how they can pull so many people’s strings. It’s impressive. Much respect.
Haha but they will do just fine. Love me some of those beers today, not the line. Maybe monday will be safe. I'll run the risk of the sellouts and relax this weekend.
Well so far sounds like very gggreennn tastes like mouthwash, I’ll just head to my local drugstore and save the time in line.
Since the guy below was tagged by the woman above in her post, I would imagine that they both confirmed "mouthwash" as a descriptor together. I wouldn't be surprised if it was heavy on hop burn though.
Dude no offense. By why quote anyone who said Tastes like hop mouthwash then rates a 4.25 and a 4.00.
Planning on heading up to treehouse the end of the month. Any recommendations for nice golf courses near the brewery? Within a half hour would be ideal. Plan on getting up there around 7am to play and then stop by after. Price isn't to important since I'm used to overpaying in NJ but maybe in the $80 or less range.
Only TH could print the following phrase on a can of beer; “Very Gggrennn is a beer we have tried not to brew for a long time. It is very difficult to imagine improving upon the tirelessly refined Green family.”
This harkens back to the first sentence of all their initial beer can descriptions; “You are fortunate to be holding...(insert TH beer here)”.
Honestly, I love the bravado and wish they would just stick with that vs. trying to cover up their real intentions with mellow vibes and such.
Reading Perfect srotm, it makes me think;$5.30 a can and they want you to cold condition it until it reaches its peak. And you have to drive to the brewery and stand in line for it. Make sure you tip them and thank them on the way out. Lol.
Uuuuuugggghhhh those ratings with those reviews.
I love this. Now I know to just buy 2 cans of mouthwash and let it sit for 2 weeks and see if the Scope turns into a hop gem.
Never & Again.
Tastes like battery acid 4/5
Pushes the bounds of tolerable ph levels on my tongue 4.25 outta 5 broz
I don't really think the post you're quoting is the best interpretation of the description of Perfect Storm, but even if it was I don't think Never and Again is a very good comparison. That beer was canned two and a half weeks before it was released to the public; it was more bad than green and extra conditioning wasn't the main thing that was needed IMO.
Hot take, coming in hot; Never and Again is the reason Tree House doesn’t collab with other brewery’s for hype releases.
Fire up your Maserati and take a drive on a beautiful spring day. Top down of course.
