Did you ever have regular Gggreennn? It’s pretty much exactly like your description of VGggg
Yes, and VGGG is just a bigger version of it. For the record, my favorite TH beers are in this order:1: VGGG 2: VG 3: GGG 4: Curiosity 35. 5: Super Sap. So I clearly have a preference.
I've been loving Very GGGreen. It's explosive, delicious, and an excellent experiment in how monstrous Treehouse can make their hops. Always great to watch a brewery at the top of their game try something new.
I think the can limits are the result of the best of intentions. Meaning, giving more people the opportunity to try said beer and also to try and show people that beer will normally last at least a few days.
Problem is, they have created so many crazed fans and attract so many re-sellers that it may never be a consistent relaxed environment. Here’s to hoping that these people move onto something else.
Yeah, like tall "tree" limbs and short ropes.
If Monson ever gets the green light it would help things. Also, the lines were pretty mellow for most of Spring. Only in the last couple of weeks has it gotten crazy agan, and we all kind of knew that this would happen when the weather got super nice. The Anniversary releases don't help the situation either.
The order cards yesterday were the smallest they've been in a year I'd say. I wonder if the crowds were that big or if they scaled back production slightly after the baby bright fiasco.
Green is a fruit smoothie. Very Green is a kicked up smoothie with more bitterness. GGGreennn is a kicked up smoothie with more sweetness. Very GGGreennn is a kicked up smoothie with more bitterness and sweetness.
At least that's how I saw it. And when I say "sweetness", I guess it's less about the sugar and more about the hop saturation. Don't really wanna call it "dank", but the flavors become fuller and heavier. Like fruits shifting from ripe to overripe.
Working theory: Treehouse hires a professional wizard to render their beers supernaturally incapable of causing hangovers through the use of forces better left unmeddled with. I see no other explanation for how drunk I can get off of TH versus how little I feel it the next day.
Also the most recent batch of Julius is top quality, one of the best I've had
Must be the Jackfruit
or the honeydew. or the grape juice.
I can say with great confidence that Treehouse beer is definitely capable of causing hangovers.
do you have any experience with its effect on erections?
Not too much, but Ive heard @TreeHouse_Erection dips his boner in Green before each coital session with Mrs. Erection.
Guess we need to start closing the blinds
Anyone go yesterday? How were the lines?
Volcanos and beautiful days. Brace yourselves folks.
Doubleganger is worth a trip by itself!
Haze also with MTC. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a silent or C71
King triple j 2pp
KJJJ and not silent!
Welcome to the shit-show.
There may be no beer left after the end of this week!?!?
Sweet baby Jesus, so much for no drinking until July
Evidently I picked a great day to go.
And I was thinking of heading up today. Hard pass on that.
Llllline exxxtender At 2pp. How ggggenerous
Word is spreading like wildfire in the facebook line page about king JJJ. People going crazy probably running out of work to grab it. Maybe the 2pp count will keep the crowds at bay....did I really say that? ..fat chance.
Am I crazy or is the 8pp doubleganger the real prize here?
Tbh no. One of my favorites. I'm maxing out on that shit. All day.
2 pp on KJJ. I fully expect to see it on eBay for $100 a can.
Worth it just to not spend the time waiting.
Its gonna be chaos
Probably heading up tomorrow. Not sure how much better it will be
If they brewed 1,000 cases it will be 12,000 allotments which should last at least 2 days
Well damn was gonna head down Saturday to get some Doubleganger hopefully the KJ doesnt deplete everything else before Saturday. Doubleganger is one of my favorites
Not glad I went yesterday. Though I walked inside and was shocked to find no one in line.
I really wish they would give a status on it like they expect it to last for x amount of days. It would help the customers out a lot and maybe lighten the line.
Agree to disagree.
This is only the 2nd release of this beer right? I know 6/24/16 was the first time. Not sure if they did another or not.
June 16 was the last time. Not sure if it was the first.
If brewed in Monson, it may not last much into tomorrow
Oh hell don't say that. Those complaining that K JJJULIUSSS brewed in Charlton wont taste as good as from Monson will now run up there and jump in line on that speculation. HAHA.
At risk of dredging up that age ole discussion.....the label does say Monson on it!
