I never felt the need for a "love" button before.
Definitely going for cans of Green!
Cans of Green on for tomorrow? Site says still some Lights Out left.
Just popped up on Boston Magazine:
Must have that can
Even if empty
on tap page has been updated:
AVAILABLE IN 16 oz. CANS (!!!!):
GREEN (American IPA - 7.5% ABV) @#*$#@&(@#!!!! - Green in a can! Made with Australian and American hops, this tropical heavy IPA opens up in the can with notes of hugely flavorful notes of lemon-lime, pineapple, orange sorbet, and tangerine. It has a soft but pointed bitterness and a rich, velvety mouth feel. One of of our personal favorites here at Tree House, now in backpack-able packaging! Drink it from the can. Trust us. ($3.75 / can) - *** Limit six cans per person ***
LIGHTS OUT (American Pale Ale - 5.4% ABV) - A new and wonderful pale ale, Lights Out is exceedingly well hopped at all stages of the brewing process, yet still balanced and delicate on the palate. The prevailing flavor is tangerine - even lingering pleasantly in the finish - with heaps of pungent grapefruit and citrus rind contributing to the complexisty of this little delight. A joy to drink right out of the can. Or however you like it! ($13/4 pack) - *** Limit 8 cans per person, one trip through the line *** (~4 Cases remain)
AVAILABLE FOR GROWLER FILLS:
GREEN (American IPA - 7.5% ABV) - Our cross-continental IPA! Made with Australian and American hops, this tropical heavy IPA opens up in the glass with notes of hugely flavorful notes of lemon-lime, pineapple, orange sorbet, and tangerine. It has a soft but pointed bitterness and a rich, velvety mouth feel. One of of our personal favorites here at Tree House! (750ML - $8 | 2L - $16) *** Limit one 2L or 2 750 ML ***
EUREKA w/Galaxy (American Blonde Ale - 4.1 % ABV) - An elegant showcase for Australian Galaxy hops, this riff on our favorite blonde ale has just the pale malt bill in common with her sister beer, Eureka. Delicate and pleasantly hoppy, with aromatic and flavorful notes of pineapple and citrus, you'll have a hard time believing this one is so sessionable. This batch used super fresh Galaxy making a beer that is super saturated and super delicious. (750ML - $7 | 2L - $14) ***Limit four total bottles with up to 2 2L ***
what are the odds of cans on sat this wknd? or am I better off waiting til a bigger batch?
That article makes it sound like you can grab a pint at the new brewery...this true?
Where? This: “I’ll be making beer 30 feet away from where people are drinking and buying cases of beer.”
I'm sure that refers to drinking samples. They do not offer half/full pours nor do they have the license to do so.
Well that certainly sounds awesome if true. If I can get a case then I will drive out from Boston. Otherwise not really worth the trip and wait just for a 4 pack or 2.
When that 30bbl starts rocking it's case time!!! I am sure someone here will post that news when it's time so keep an eye out.
Awesome price point on the Green cans. Since the folks from Tree House are active in this thread, I'd love to know more about how you came to that price if you could share. At $15 for a four pack, it's a substantial price drop per ounce (~40% if my math is right). Are you able to make up the difference on account of higher volume? Are canning costs lower than the cost of labor to fill growlers? Or is it simply the case that, for whatever reason, the market will bear ~$10-12 for a 750ml but won't tolerate $25 four packs?
Whatever the reason, I am looking forward to taking a drive out from Boston soon and grabbing some cans. Thank you and keep up the awesome work.
(1) 64 oz growler of Green = $16
(4) 16 oz cans = 64 oz = $15
or .25 cents/ oz for Green growler fills vs. .234 cents/ oz in cans..
The 2 weeks of new cans makes me really excited to go up in the next couple months and get my fridge filled with some tree house
Are the Green cans this week per person per day, or per trip through the line?
Per person per day
What has the wait been like for cans only? Considering making the drive over
Last week was pretty quick, maybe 30 mins if you were last in line.
Ah. I was thinking it was $10 for a 750ml. Nevermind!
I heard the initial rush for cans was 20-30 minutes, but after that went through there was effectively no wait (like if you showed up at 7:00 tonight, hypothetically there would be no wait for cans only.)
That is one hell of a ceiling fan.
Will this beauty last until Saturday? I need more.
Sadly not. There's only 16 cans left.
How was the can line tonight? Similar to last Thursday?
I would say double the amount of people at open compared to last Thursday
Green in the can truly is Manna From Heaven!
We got there a little after 7 and were surprised at how thin the crowd was. No wait for cans and no beer left for Growler fills will do that. No worries though. There were 4 of us
must feel pretty amazing to sell 16 cans shy of an entire batch of a beer in less than 4 hours! Unreal.
yep that was the line I was referring to...sorry for the confusion/apparent blatant ignorance, only visited the old brewery once so I wasn't sure
Showed up at 6:15 and was in and out in 5 minutes for Cans
so the elephant in the room is how do they follow that up?
TRIPLE SHOT (Imperial Coffee Stout - 9.0% ABV) - 2014 saw the creation and evolution of one of our proudest accomplishments here at Tree House: Double Shot. Over the year we often wondered how far we could push the coffee and still maintain a balanced and delightful beer. In the spirit of maintaining the integrity and refinement of the original Double Shot, we created a new base beer to withstand precisely double the coffee addition Double Shot receives to satisfy our curiosity. The result is something quite surprising and completely original! More milk chocolate than coffee, and more brown sugar than molasses, Triple Shot conveys a super unique flavor profile that explodes with complexity as it warms. The crew here tastes “straight chocolate syrup”, ”chocolate covered raspberries”, “sweet espresso”, and “chocolate Charleston Chew (seriously)”. A truly rich treat that begs to be shared - we’re psyched to shared it with YOU! (750 ML - $12) *** Limit 2 750 ml ***
There's your answer!
I'd love me some triple shot... but not worth the ride (for me) for 2 750's.
I wonder if anything else will go on for Saturday or if they plan to take the day off...
Looks like this is the only beer on until next week, and it's limit 2 per person per day, not per trip thru the line.
Indeed. The batch of Green would normally last through most of Saturday but the ease of cans makes it impossible for us to currently keep up. Soon!
Definitely understand, keep up the great work guys!
Sounds like Dean may have done the math for this one...
I wonder if the triple shot will last through Saturday, or if they'll end up having to close early. Incredible how the demand keeps increasing faster than supply can despite their best efforts
