How about a lunch place in general? In the area, of course.
I asked this on page 4, theres some replies
Most people will go to the following places:
BT's Smokehouse in Sturbridge - BYOB
Enrico's Pizza in Sturbridge
Maria's Pizza in Monson
Kaizen in Sturbridge - Sushi
Westview Creamery - Walking distance from Tree House (see below)
Westview Creamery closed for the winter.
If you're coming from the east and want to stop somewhere before going to Tree House, I would stop at Armsby Abbey in Worcester. Great draft list and always amazing food.
People generally recommend BT's; about 15 minutes down Route 20 heading east. It is really, really delicious BBQ.
Also, I love your There Will be Blood avatar.
I.....DRINK.....YOUR....JULIUS.........I DRINK IT UP!!!!!!
Just add a bowling alley to Tree House and that scene can happen.
Bowling balls. Pins. Blood. Beer. Growlers.
What could go wrong?

Great beer selection, I hear the food is good, and it's only like 10 mins away from Tree House.
I think for a newbie the suggestion of going on a Saturday afternoon for their first TH visit is a great one. That's generally the quietest time and it would probably seem more approachable to a newcomer. That way you can get the lay of the land, easily see where the tickets are that you fill out, see how the process works/flows. Then on your next visit you’re more comfortable to hit a busier night for that special brew you may want. Thankfully, as long as anything is still on tap Saturday afternoon you’ll walk away happy. Though not all TH beers may be highly sought after, they’re all top quality.
Oh, we're going tonight.
Don't worry, pretty easy process. Like @atdunn9 said if it gets to be too much you can head out for a bit and come back before close.
On that note, question - on a super busy night (2hr+ wait) are you really able to leave your bottles and pick them back up later? I wasn't thinking so because they (understandably) couldn't otherwise take my bottles when I submit my ticket if I was sticking around. If they could, I'd imagine there would be bottles everywhere and it would be a cluster F.
Yes, so basically you hand in your order form and say "I am going to come back and get them." Then on the card is written the description of the bag or cooler and if there is a lot the bottles are tagged with your name or card number so they don't get lost.
Awesome. Good to know.
We only request that you bring us back some of the food you leave to go get
Harmony has kicked
I love Harmony. I put it behind julius but ahead of green. Just an awesome use of nelson.
Any chance of anything being added tomorrow? That "Others TBD..." thing on the on tap page always gets me excited...
Is Julius going to make it till tomorrow?
@TreeHouseBrewCo: Kegging an absolutely beautiful version of Double Shot. Description forthcoming - on for fills tomorrow!
@TreeHouseBrewCo: Also... Eureka w/Citra!
DOUBLE SHOT - Colombia La Primavera (Coffee Stout - 7.6%) - We’re excited to release the latest edition of our favorite stout with a tremendous coffee roasted by Heart Coffee Roasters - Colombia La Primavera. This lot is absolutely gorgeous, with rich flavors of chocolate and winter spice balanced by a tangy acidity. As it warms it reveals complexity, offering notes of chocolate covered espresso beans, dark caramel, and brown sugar. A soft and distinct bean for sure! A luscious, sweet, and less roasty base beer contributes the ideal backdrop to this bold and vibrant treat for the coffee and beer lover alike! This series continues to be a joy for us to brew, and - we hope - for you to enjoy! (750 ML - $10 | 2 L - $20) *** Limit 2 total bottles with up to 1 2 liter ***
We have 20 sixtels left. If I had to guess, I'd say it will last until 3-4 but I can't make any promises!
It's hanging out in my head. Haven't had an opportunity to sit down in front of my laptop with a glass of bourbon. . .
what's Nate's bourbon of choice?
Pappy Good Morning
PvW double shot
that's a mighty fine choice!
Eh, parking lot at 2:30PM was too busy for me to risk stopping with an energetic just turned 3 y/o. Have to try again next time.
PS - But I was representing at McD's Playplace with my I'm With Dean shirt...
For the record, my daughter was the cutest five month old wearing an owl hat there today.
I went early. Net total time to get the goods and bounce was 90 min. with samps keepin' me warm. smooth 1st experience.
Me and my bud showed up at opening and we got called for our glass in a little under 90 minutes. It was a lot busier than I had anticipated, but I had forgotten about the big game day tomorrow. Today's Julius and Double Shot are both righteous. I haven't had a chance to dig in to the others yet.
That's What She Said is unreal today.
"Best batch we ever brewed," said whoever runs the TH Twitter acct.
That person is right and I would LOVE this beer by the case.
Had a nice visit on Friday night. Spent about an hour in the brewery, had some TERRIFIC samples poured by @jomobono and felt very welcomed and at ease. Looked like the barn was full of regulars who know the drill.
Got my Julius and Harmony. Julius drank so well last night.
Tree House veterans are the best people, they love helping new customers.
I think to celebrate the patriots making the superbowl.......again!!!! Treehouse should brew a beer and name it something like...Bradys tea party or Blount train haha.
I think Surly's got that one covered.
I kid, I kid.
Oh that's fresh
from the on-tap page:
GREEN (American IPA - 7.5% ABV) - Our cross-continental IPA! Made with Australian and American hops, this tropical heavy IPA opens up in the glass with notes of hugely flavorful notes of lemon-lime, pineapple, orange sorbet, and tangerine. It has a soft but pointed bitterness and a rich, velvety mouth feel. One of of our personal favorites here at Tree House! (750ML - $8 | 2L - $16) ***Limit two total bottles w/up to 1 2L ***
how much double shot is left? Is it likely to make it late into the night?
