    Just posted:
CURIOSITY ELEVEN (American IPA - 7.8% ABV) - So.. we didn't stop at Ten! Curiosity Twelve continues the exploration of different hop combinations, grain blends, and process tweaks to arrive at something that is sometimes planned and sometimes completely surprising. For this blend, we added a healthy dose of Vienna to the grist to support massive additions of Amarillo (quickly becoming our favorite accent hop) and Mosaic. It drinks juicy, like biting into a clementine, and finishes dank with a proper soft balancing bitterness. Completely and utterly dangerous of a beer at 7.8% ABV... Our curiosity continues...! ($8 750 ML | $16 2L) Limit one 2L or two 750 ML.
    • More to come!

They changed the On Tap page to reflect eleven since I initially posted:

I'm thinking of going on Friday. Has anyone had this? Thoughts?

Curious on opinions... I have a 750 of Double Shot that is a month old. Thoughts on if it is still good? If so, thoughts about how much longer it will stay?

Most likely still good, but given that it's supposed to be coffee forward it certainly isn't getting any better as you wait

I've had Double Shot anywhere from fresh to 4 months old and it is just as good aged as fresh IMO

I would like to know also, but my guess is it will be on tomorrow. I really doubt they would start selling cans an hour after open, and if they were selling cans when they opened we all would have probably known about it earlier. I could be wrong.

awesome. I'd guess smaller limit or they're just showing a pic and saving bigger amounts for next wk. either way pretty cool. I'm almost in ny, so I'm waiting for bigger limits...semi patiently. with drool. (homer simpson drool face "mmmm, beer")

Since these were from the 5bbl system probably a 6-8 can limit. And probably around $3.75/can.

The limit and price is my guess.

Either way this batch of Julius is pretty nice in a growler.

The 30bbl system was first used this week according to Dean. So look for more bear in 2-3 weeks

Dean came out about 15 minutes before open hiding something in his jacket...made an announcement that we're in for a treat, then popped the can of Julius and chugged about 1/2 of it, with everybody cheering. Was a pretty rad scene.

That is awesome. I wish i was there. I might be the minority here, but i am all for silent releases. I know it might cause a little backlash, some people might be upset that it wasn't announced that julius cans were released today, but that was treehouse's call, and i think it was a good one. Congrats and enjoy to everyone that was there tonight. I can't wait to scoop up some cans of julius for myself!

Julius growler fills werent announced for yesterday either. I'm fine with it too. It's almost a reward/appreciation to those who would've gone anyway. I was tempted yesterday. Hearing Julius went on as well, I wouldve gone tonight for sure but my wife is going out of town tomorrow. Somehow it wouldve seemed/felt like "bad form" to not cook a great dinner for her before she left.

Well put. Exactly, a reward/appreciation to those who would have gone anyway. I am sure you are used to that idea being from CT and probably a frequent visitor to nebco. The reason i say people may be upset is because i have seen all the negative post on facebook when nebco does silent releases. Props to you (for cooking your wife a great dinner) and props to treehouse for making great beer and appreciating all their local supporters!

as for FB and NEBCO, entitlement is real big these days

and heh heh, truth is I'm closer to Tree House (~45min vs about 60min to NEBCO). I've probably been to Monson 3 weeks out of 5, if not 3 0f 4, since I started going last May. I also think Tree House makes better beer!

I don't see it as secrecy. Regardless, whatever it is, it's going to be short lived. They ran out of beer last week, maybe the week before as well. If there's not another batch on in the morning, they'll be real lean for tomorrow too. Demand is just magnitudes higher than supply right now.
