I may not be with you 100% @VincentChase but i do agree they should have sold some tickets on site like they did last year, which IIRC lasted a few days. That probably wouldn't have been the case this year with the recent explosion of popularity, but last year it was very easy for locals to buy tickets. My guess is that the treehouse crew was worried to many people would show up, or arrive ridiculously early for on-site tickets and they didn't want to create a mess. I think the ideal system would be a lottery system, and split the allotments up for on site/ online. Maybe sell on site lottery tickets for a week so it wouldn't create a mess of people all trying to show up early for tickets.

Does anyone have any more info on the new brewery? I believe there was a town planning meeting a few weeks back. Did anyone attend or know what came out of that?

Been 12 for a long time. 2 is a good time to get there to avoid crowds, though.

Getting there at 11 on a Wednesday, you'll likely be right up towards the front of the line. Have fun chatting with local regulars, and you'll be in and out in minutes.

I drink most of it, I trade a small portion of it and the rest goes to friends and family. I'm not going this week because the reserves are full. More Alter Ego for the rest of you.

Think of it this way. People who get to go that are far away, may go once and that might be it. They are an inconsequential blip on their radar and bottom line. From the sound of it you get to go quite often. So in reality those people are the ones losing and you are the one who gets the fresh cans and pours week to week. If anything those people are envious of you.

Nope, this is a standard offering, and a normal can limit for Wednesdays. If tomorrow's release is something special, it may boost numbers higher than normal, but chances are it's going to be another "core" beer at 6pp to make it an easy 12-pk allocation per person. The "normal" crowd for Wednesdays has been in the 1,200-1,600 person range, so the crowd is plenty big to begin with. Expect to be ~50-100 in line by 11am, and out with cans roughly 20 minutes after they open the doors. Enjoy!

I think you are missing his point about the anniversary party being, in their own words, a time to share beers with those who have supported the brewery since its inception. I agree that it should have been a mix of online and onsite sales but I'm sure they had their reasons (I'd bet that the size of the crowds over the last several weeks was a big factor). Who knows, maybe they did in fact hold some back to sell at the brewery and haven't announced it yet.

I will be visiting this coming Saturday morning. While I would be stupid to deny the desire for something rare (KJ, JM, GM)...from what I hear, the mere mention of it would ensure everything selling out before Saturday due to higher turnouts. So I'm just hoping for the opportunity to buy a good two or three TH varieties, since it will be my first trip ever, and probably only for years to come.

I appreciate your point of view but I would respectfully disagree. Treehouse rolls out the very rarest of beers for this event and it's my position that those beers should be shared with the ones who have supported them. I understand it makes me look like an entitled crybaby to everyone here but I don't see a fairness in giving someone whose been a couple times or not at all a crack at the rarest beers they make while the guy who has supported them misses out. Read my restaurant analogy above and tell me you wouldn't be bothered in that situation. I'll admit to that level of entitlement. That if they're gonna roll out the good stuff, it should be for the core crowd.

I've only supported Treehouse for a little over two years so I'm not sure I'm part of the "core crowd". I only go every now and then due to other life commintments. I do know that every time I go it's always the most chillest of places. Let us turn around this thread and be positive for all that they do for us. It's only beer folks, and TH will definitely be talking care of all our needs for years to come.

Most of the "good stuff" ends up on for Growlers either before or after the event. Not everything, but last year a good chunk. If you go as often as you say you do Vincent, you should be able to get a majority of these fills. At least, I hope that's the case for you and others that want to try it.

Idea! They need to keep a leader board of their biggest customers. We'll watch the top few jockey for position to be named as King of the Tree House. He shall be able to rule over the lessor patrons from the limbs of a tree far older than he... perhaps sprinkling drops of the rarest brews down to a chosen few!

Could be a great way to incentivize people to buy more since their sales have been lacking...

Thanks man! We will begin driving overnight Friday after work, sleeping at a rest stop for a few hours, then continuing on. We'll probably get there quite early (which has me wondering if it's unusual to see people sleeping in their car when the lines start forming).

Anyway, here's hoping all that work results in some reward, no matter how small!

This past Saturday, I think they were out of everything - cans certainly, almost positive growlers, too - before Saturday kicked off. But that's a holiday weekend. You should be good for growlers of most of the week's releases, at the very least, and whatever the Friday can is should still be around.

If you really want to get TH beer I would get there at 9am if possible(that should put you around card number 20-40 ish). That way if any growler supply is dwindling, which I'm sure some will be, you'll have a chance to get some. Even on an very busy holiday week there were still 2 beers for growler fills (but no cans) this past Saturday, with regular releases you could expect more this week. They also had poor yields this past week for growlers which hopefully won't be the case this week and hopefully means a good amount of fills.

I'm sure you may already have this planned but Trillium (the Canton loacation) is only about 1.5 hrs away. And you certainly won't get shut out of anything there. You could walk away with with a handful of cases if you so chose. Good luck, enjoy your trip!

Can you please take your ball and go home! People that live 15 minutes away from Tree House that were there from the start in Brimfield that aren't able to go. You complaining, hoping that Nate or Dean will see this and try to seek you out to get you a ticket isn't going to work.

Also, you pointing out that you donated to their ALS fundraiser has nothing to do with this and is such a DB move! That fundraiser was for a good cause! I can leave an envelope with the $5 from your donation at Tree House so you can pick it up at one of the two days you go this week if you'd like. You don't hold leverage over anyone for donating to a charity; you chose to do it.

It's supposed to be a fun event and they did what they thought was best. Everyone had a fair shot to purchase a ticket online. Yes, it totally sucks that many locals including myself didn't get a ticket, but stop being a keyboard cowboy. If you really do go as often as you say, then you must know Nate or Dean well enough to approach them to talk to them about this in person instead of complaining on here and trying to start a movement against them.

I do hope that everyone that got a ticket has a great time and they pour King Julius for you! Long Live KJ!!! For the people that didn't get tickets to the event thank you for not complaining. Enjoy that you get to drink the #1 rated brewery in the world!
