It's also funny because of all of the recent C's, people tend to talk most fondly about 28. Really wish I had gone after one now.

35 was the one that I wanted to become a regular thing. Haven't said that ever about a C before that one and I started since the teens.

21 was my favorite. It took a bit of time to mesh but when it did it was amazing. The label was a TH worst. Awful. I would like to see it back again.

I had the chance to interact briefly with Lauren maybe a year and a half ago. I was asking to see if they would donate to a charity event a friend was doing. She was extremely responsive and very helpful. They ended up donating a basket to the event. I contacted them I think on a Monday or a Tuesday and I picked up the basket on Wednesday morning. What other busy brewery would have even responded to you that quickly no matter even getting everything done?

Every time I've waited in line I've heard stories from people who have shared some small act of kindness these guys have shown. Maybe I've also been lucky because I haven't met anyone in line in the times I've been that wasn't nice as well. Hopefully these guys won't sour as people get more and more demanding of them.

I thought people liked 27 the most? Everybody loved 22 and people were saying 27 was a Double 22.

For some reason, people thought 28 was a "Double Sap", probably because of the word "balsam" in the description and the Christmasy type label so naturally it wasn't as popular since Sap doesn't bring the crowds. I remember people liking it, but it just couldn't compete with the recently released 27.

According to my Untappd, of the ones I've had 32 and 35 were 5-star beers. That said, I can't remember exactly why I liked them so much, so... huh.

Oh you're probably right. I knew it was somewhere in there. Either way, I hope they make 27 into an actual released beer.

Hm... if only there was a way to leave a comment or note about the beer you had on Untappd...

C-27 was definitely a crowd favorite (hard to argue w "Peach juice!"), but I remember being blown away by 28. I recall the commercial description referring to a distinct note of "fruit punch" in addition to "balsam" you mentioned, and I thought both were spot-on. There was something so unique about that beer's flavor profile that was unlike anything I've experienced from TH, and each can I had seemed to be better than the last. I feel like I've noticed similarities in recent Curiosity beers that also feature Simcoe (as well as in Sap, which I feel has improved in its showcase of Simcoe), but boy, would I love to see the return of the 28 recipe...

1600 cases is a nice step up in production. Maybe inching closer to a point where a variety of the weeks offerings make it to at least the early part of Saturday morning? Can't recall that large of a batch being announced previously.

It seems they're actively trying to sell out of cans before Saturday, opening that day up to pours, music, food trucks, and hanging out.

I suspect we'll see higher limits before cans lasting well into Saturday.

Problem is, the pour limit needs to be raised before I'll ever make a day out of it. Maybe if I lived closer. Totally understand why it is where it is right now though.

I was thinking about this when I made a trip out last week, I noticed that the people working the can sales were the same people I've recognized at Monson, and are basically the same people every trip. Curious if there is a reason they haven't pushed for more retail staff now that they're a couple of months into the new location. I don't think cans and pours have to be mutually exclusive, you just need a few more employees so that you're not dividing the existing work force.

C27 was the one that everyone really really liked. I do remember when 28 came out everyone was calling it "Very Sappy". Ironically, Super Sap came out a week or two later if I'm not mistaken. Although I really like Keever's new, more complex curiosity art style, I did love how he could express something like old fashioned christmasy warmth, with such a simple illustration and those energy lines that he uses.

Maybe because this is a for-profit company trying to pay back a big fat loan from a bank for the expansion and this would cost them extra money. That said, I think TH tows the line between profits vs the customer experience better than any company I know of, but still, you have to bale the hay while the sun is shining...
