Well that’s a bummer. I was really hoping to grab some Julius to bring back with me. Maybe I can get out there on Tuesday if it happens to last.

2500 cases of Julius...only speculation, but I bet it carries to Tuesday.
Good luck, hope you score some!!

I would be shocked if there isn't any left over Tuesday.

But then again, we don't know what's being released today yet, so that could change.

Anytime ive been on Saturday in the last few months its been a mob scene and a pretty unpleasant experience. If you have family and are worried about the wait, id say you may have to pass. Also the Brimfield Antique Market is going on for the last time this year. I think it will be a very busy day if its nice.

DDH Congress Street or yet another adjunct sweet stout.... Seems like an obvious choice to me.

Thanks for the heads up! I had changed our plans to go grab pours today, but looks like that's out the window now as well. Count me in the camp that can't wait until Tree house can figure out a way to sell these hype beers separately from the rest of their experience, makes it impossible to plan a trip.

Listing 6k bottles is a nice choice as that seems like a lot, when in all actuality it’s likely the equivalent of a 250 case run....assuming these bottles are ~16oz as their other ones have been. I am sure they keg a lot as well though for onsite enjoyment.

Wonder why they do majority milk stouts these days. I don't mind adjuncts, but I miss just straight stouts. The lactose can be too sweet for me. I suppose that's what the masses want these days?

lactose stouts are the wine coolers and alcopops of the craft beer scene. Give the new or timid drinker something really sweet and maybe they'll be hooked for life.

I would love to try a non-addjunk, non lactose, RIS from Tree House

As someone trying to get a non-beer drinker into beer can confirm it's more fruited sours than adjunct lactose stouts, but both are good inroads for them.

Nah dog IPA's and hop character in general are the worst offenders for him, doesn't matter how "juicy" they get Julius tasting, it's never gonna be as fruit-forward and sweet as a fruited gose

If you describe fruited sours as sweet, you’re drinking the wrong fruited sours.

    Well it depends.

Just visited The Answer and had some of their "sours" and they were literally fruit smoothies. The Veil also has their take on it and they are very sweet.

I wonder what's with the cross over label between IWNBA & ATI&ATEWB

I think the new stout is another Sagan reference - just worded as a statement from something he says

Not a ton around them. If you have the time, drive the 20 min to Worcester and hit the Armsby Abbey for arguably the best draft list in the state.

What I've done multiple times is to rent a room at the Hilton in Worcester. That way you're almost in between Tree House and Trillium (25-30 min and 50 min, respectively). So you can hit both breweries easily, and then end up back in Worcester to hit Armsby Abbey for dinner/beers.

I have done this as well and it works out nicely. Other cheaper option is the Holiday Inn Express in Sturbridge, it is brand new and right down the road from the brewery.

I've done this exact trip on the first day of my Boston trip twice over now (and doing again first week in Nov). Airport -> Trillium Canton -> Tree House -> Armsby Abbey -> Hotel. Only difference is that I stay at the Homewood Suites about a half mile away from Armsby because it's a touch cheaper and has free breakfast as opposed to the Hilton Garden a block or so away.
